D-Will or Rondo

I think Rondo should be playing on team USA right now over D-Will. I think he is a better all around PG than D-Will. Rondo has a ring and been way more succesful than D-will has been for his team. Who disagrees?

There are a couple of reasons why Williams should be on the Olympic squad and I'm a HUGE Rajon Rondo fan.
The first is in international basketball you need shooters. Williams is of course a good outside shooter and much better than Rondo. As much as I love Rondo he's just simply not good at shooting the basketball from the outside.
The second reason is Rondo doesn't even want to play for Team USA. He's specifically said if he was asked to play he would tell them no. Do you really want Rondo on the team when he doesn't want to even be on the team himself? I don't. Doesn't really make that much sense, and if you forced him to play on the team it would probably kill team chemistry. Rondo is known to not get along with teammates. Ask Ray Allen.
If you wanted to make this a Deron Williams versus Rajon Rondo, who is the better point guard TD, then maybe you would have a case. And I say maybe because I've always viewed Williams as one of the top 3 or 4 point guards in the NBA.
But for the olympics, based on both players shooting ability and both players commitment to Team USA the easy choice is Deron Williams over Rajon Rondo.

On a neutral court, NBA rules, I pick Rondo every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Deron Williams has never won anything, has never made the players around him better, and has the blood of a HOF coach on his hands to boot. Rondo is a champion who has carried Boston for long stretches of time while the Geriatric Three were either infirm or gimping around the arena. On my NBA roster...there is absolutely no contest.
But internationally speaking...Olympic style? Rondo is simply not made for that. The international game is sort of like the NBA all star game. No real strategy...just five guys running around looking for their best shot. In that light, even though I still wouldn't give Williams much of a look unless 5-6 other guys said no, he is a better option than Rondo.
Gotta go with Jim based on that logic.

your crazy Rondo over Deron Williams??!!....first of all deron williams is a better all around PG than Rondo ...Deron does make his teammates better he brought that Jazz team the playoffs every year with nobody on that team especially when the western conference was really tough before last year the champions were Dallas Lakers2x celtics Spurs...other notable playoff teams were phoenix denver with Carmelo but my point is theres 3 champions from the western conference and he still manage to bring his team to the western conference finals at least once which they lost to the SPURS who won that year....yes Rondo is a champion but he wasnt the one who got that ring for them and he certainly wasnt the player that he is today at the time....if rondo wouldve tooken care of the heat in game 6 this year in boston then i would give him the title of best PG ....Deron williams made Carlos Boozer made MIllsap made Kris Humphries look like all stars ....when DROSE went down boozer was nothing because DWiLL showed that he was overrated and he needs that PG to be better...DWILL never had a KG Paul Pierce Ray Allen type of supporting cast ...you switch PGs for both teams rondo wouldve been nothing in the new jersey especailly without a brook lopez for the whole season first Rondo isnt a offensive threat the players on that nets team wouldnt get respect therefore he would have to become a scorer which he isnt ....Dwill on a Celtics team with those 3 wouldv been a dynasty he wouldve tooken over and beat the heat in game 6 when nobody couldnt do anything ...
