NCAA Championship Prediction Surprise!

Disclaimer: Writing this under the influence of quite a bit of alcohol. Please excuse typos. Ideas however are working better than ever.


You're NCAA National Champion will be: USC

That's probably not very surprising to many of you. What is surprising is who I think they will beat in the National Championship Game. Here's your game.

USC 35 Oklahoma 20


The Sooners you say? Why not LSU? Or Alabama? Surely there HAS to be a SEC team in the National Championship Game?!

Wrong. Both Alabama and LSU will be 1 loss teams at the end of the season and the BCS will take unbeaten USC and Oklahoma over a 1 loss SEC team. My prediction is that LSU gets revenge on 'Bama at home, but lose to a high powered Arkansas attack in the last game of the season. Arkansas will lose to 'Bama though, leaving the SEC a jumbled mess and allowing USC and Oklahoma (both unbeaten) to win their prospective conferences and meet up in the National Championship.

Disagree? Let's go.


First off, you forget that we don't get the playoffs until 2014. Having said that, the rankings will still set the NC game. Having said that, those that decide the ranking are in LOVE with the SEC teams and NO conference is strong enough to knock them from that spot until they knock themselves out by losing 2 or more games this season.

And that is where your argument falls apart. Either LSU or Bama will again run the table and finish with either 1 or Zero losses this year. Again. When that happens they will , at the worse case, be either 1 or 2 in the polls.

OU has a couple of tough test thru their schedule this season. First off, Texas has a much improved running attack and that game can be rough. Second , OU has to travel to WV this year. Their history is 2-2 with WV and the Mountaineers are out to prove they belong in a premier conference. What better way than to beat OU their first season.

I am a big time Sooner's Fan and I would love to see them play for the NC but I always have my doubts that they can run the table and finish 12-0.

Another thing is that the Big12 will not be as strong this year and that can hurt OU in the ratings as well.

By the way, here are some observations from tonight's drinks. Honey Jack goes great with just ice... that's about it. Captain and A&W Root Beer is better than Captain and Coke. Flaming Jager Bombs are fun (just put some 151 on the top of the shot then light up). Alaskan Amber and Alaskan White are two of the greatest beers known to man. Along with Blue Moon. Never accept a shot of clear liquid from anyone when it is known that there is Everclear in the house.

Stanford's Stepfan Taylor will be a top 5 running back in the nation. I'll gladly TD anyone on this topic too.

I do believe the Trojans are eligible. That's why they are ranked in the coaches' poll. Don't think Arky will make it or Wisc. FSU has a pretty good shot. I'm hoping LSU can go at least 10-2. QB position way to big of an unknown.

I watch OU year in, year out. Trust me , they ALWAYS have at least two let down games somewhere. Last yr it was Texas Tech and OSU.
