I guess I wanted to do this as a tribute.. Even if I am going to be negative on him..
You get to try and play the hero, and back Roddick..
But lets face it.. Roddick really wasnt very good..
The fact that his groundies, (90% of the time, he would just paddycake the ball), were worse than Goran Ivanisevic.. And thats saying something!
Roddicks serve was severely over rated..
Federer had zero problems returning roddicks serve, cause it was easy to predict..
I really think sampras and agassi would have really kicked some Roddick butt, on a consistent basis..
I know Roddick won the 2003 US Open.. But his draw opened up, and it was total cake..
Was Roddick a great guy? Sure..
Is he the kind of guy, you dream of as a future son-in-law? ABSOLUTELY..
But was he even better than being labelled as a one slam wonder???
Kraijeck AND Ivanisevic were better one slam wonders..
Roddick would have sucked in the 90's..
From 2000 to 2005.. They had to give the trophy to someone didnt they?
Apart from Federer getting his groove going in 2004, and later, nadal coming along in 2005, the top 10 was awful weak..

Roddick will be remembered as a solid player.
I don't know anybody that sees stars, well, maybe Decker, but who's counting.
Roddick won 74% of his matches. Look @ ...Agassi ... won 76 percent of his...sh8t...... Pete Sampras 77% of his matches.
Over their careers..
Roddick isn't that old, who's to say he doesn't take a layoff and comeback...
Roddick will be remembered as a solid player with a o, so hot gfrand.
I will be quite frank, this is from a blog I found, by Jenny S
Agassi's Slam results from 1993 Wimbledon-1997 US Open
Slam titles: 2 (won one without facing Sampras)
Slam finals appearances: 3
Slam semis appearances: 6
Slam quarterfinals appearances: 8
total titles during this period: 15
Roddick's Slam results from 2003 Wimbledon-2007 US Open
Slam titles: 1 (won without facing Federer)
Slam finals appearances: 5
Slam semis appearances: 7
Slam quarterfinals appearances: 11
Total titles during this period: 16
I think Roddick sneaks in the hall of fame...

I dont like how you picked one of agassi's less than stellar periods, and compared it, to Roddick's greatest periods..
lies, lies and then there is statistics..
Look, we all know agassi had a career that was 1000 times better than Roddicks..
Agassi won 8 slams, to Roddick's one..
Agassi was arguably top 3 of all time on slow hard courts, like the aussie open and the Miami open..
Roddick? The only REAL highest compliment I can give him.. Is that Roddick was a Davis Cup warrior, having won 33 singles match, the second most behind Johnny Mac.. But even that, is more of a cute accomplishment, cause in Davis cup, he could avoid Federer, Nadal and the Djoker..
I will for sure miss Roddick.. He was alot of fun to watch, cause he would always argue with the ump..
Thanks Roddick for representing our country in Davis cup, so many times..
Now, go retire, before you fall out of the top 30, your super hot girlfriend get less than impressed and then dumps you for an insanely successful entrepreneur!

he's like the energizer bunny, he keeps going, and GOING..
Look at Roddick..
just look at him..
Look at his age, what he's conquered.
Hate all you want, but his serve is "buck nasty", and he's won a lotta games. ONLY 2% behind agassi, for his CAREER..
dude's not over rated.
Sh8t, Roddick win this U.S. OPEN!!!! :) I'm rooting for him at least. He's a lucky guy, all the way around. lol

"I've got a feeling..
That tonights going to be a good night:)"
Roddick gets one last big win against Del Potro tonight at 7pm..
Hot Rod is playing inspired tennis, (probably cause his super model wife, tells him if he wins, She will wear leather panties, or something and then have crazy pig love:)..
Roddick will get totally humiliated in the quarters against the Djoker..
Its just a really really really bad match up for Roddick..

Roddick looked mighty fine against old buddy before the rain delay, quit hating.
McElroy said it tonight,"Roddick's getting in the international tennis hall of fame"...
for some one of that regard to say that, you have to believe it.
Roddick's retiring for a reason.
He knows more about himself then the media, or we do.
Roddick's serve is cheddar cheese, and he's been in the game a minute. Early start?
Roddick isn't overrated. Roddick doesn't "suck".. He's got hella heart, and skills to match, just not as consistent as we would want are american respresentative to be. Roddick has had Nadal and Federer to deal with, give the kid a break. lol #seriously
