Alabama is by far the best team out there this year. The way the second and third string are getting to play this year they will be ready to make a run for the title next year also. The talent level and depth that Alabama has makes them a clear choice for the winners of the first play off NCG.

You have a few things in the way.
1. The SEC West.
Bama didn't go undefeated last year, and in a normal year, they would not have made the NC last year- an undefeated USC or even Oklahoma would have. This year? If Fla St keeps it up, they might sneak in, not to mention ND looks pretty good.
My point being, they have to go undefeated vs the toughest conference in the land, and UGA looks to FINALLY play to potential, LSU isn't going anywhere, and Auburn and Texas A&M aren't going to suck forever.
2. Ohio State, ND, USC, Fla St, Clemson, Oklahoma, Nebraska, ESPNTexas, and Michigan.
Its a one game playoff, all you need is one bad game, and you can go down. How many times have we seen a team that is ranked #1 go down in a tournament? You really think the Giants were the best team in the NFL last year? These teams are going to be threatening every year (It seems) and one slipup by Sabin, and they won't be able to pass every team.

True in tournament all it takes is one bad day. Not saying it can't, but the likely hood that Bama has a bad day during the playoff after making it there is slim. Any team that is fortunate enough to make it to the play off will be playing there heart's out. I'm looking at the depth of talent the amount of play time and experience gained will set them up in a position to be just as good if not better next year. Which makes them an odds on favorite.

Odds on favorite?
To win 20+ games, in the toughest division in football in the hardest conference in the US?
Let's keep in mind that St Sabin left LSU with a title worthy team, no reason the Browns or Skins won't offer him 10M a year to try it again. Don't think he won't think LONG and hard on it.
You are stating a 3-peat in an era where you cannot stockpile players or hide players on scholorship. If USC couldn't do it in a VASTLY inferior Pac-10.
You are giving me the FIELD?
Let's keep in mind this is the NCAA, people graduate and get hurt. No matter how many prospects are in schools, there is always a bit of a risk replacing senoirsm
Is Bama a good->great team?
Of course, but let's keep in mind, they lost AT HOME to LSU last year, and we several plays away on other feilds from not making the NC game then.
By the way, I'm on itunes!

Although they are in the toughest division in the hardest conference they are looking better then the rest.
Sabin did his time in the NFL and was not happy there. He has stated many time over he is very happy where he is. He has the opportunity to become a legend, and make it into the history books at Alabama. I don't see him going anywhere.
When you have arguably the best or one of the best recruiting classes three years in a row you can have enough of a stockpile of players to get you through this year and next.
Yes people graduate and get hurt. That is why you need a good run of recruiting classes, which Alabama has, and a good second and third string. The second and third string have played I. Every game so far this year gaining valuable exsperiance. T hey are also looking almost as good as the first string. So I don't beleive ingueries will not be an issue.
Yes last year they Lost to LSU during the regular season and still won the NCG. So that is one they need to more. The question is can they do it? Judging by how they are playing this year and they way the second and third string are playing IMHO they wiil 3peat.

How many coaches hated the NFL and STILL went back? How about that guy that loved USC so much he said he wanted to be buried on the field? Wasn't he the same dude loving Golden Tate last Monday?
I really couldn't care less about top ranked recruiting classes. I'm a ND fan. I lived through the Weis years. You can have all the top guys in the world, but lots of 5-star guys fail. (like a lot of ND's have over the decades) Don't give me coaching either, My Wife's a huge LSU fan, and lord knows I've seen Russell Shepard by the dozens over the past decade.
I'm not saying Sabin isn't one of the best college CEO's in the country, I'd send him my lunch money to take over UNC, heck I'd skip lunch twice a week just to get him to ND, let alone UNC.
My point is simply this- You are saying the Tide goes undefeated this year. Make no mistake, they backed into the title game last year, and unless stuff gets stupid, it won't happen again (Like when LSU won the title with 2 losses)
Florida State is better, USC is back, amoung several other schools, not to mention when Ohio State comes off the NCAA craplist- they will be taking title spots to lose to the SEC.

Considering they didn't belong in the national championship game last year, yet managed to become national champs, maybe left is correct (left is right?). But then again they'll have to beat Oregon (or USC if it beats the Ducks) which may prove that left is not right.

His brain exploded last January when Alabama (who didn't belong in the BCS game) was declared Nat'l Champs.
Hard to keep up an acct. with an exploded brain, especially one born of the southern gene pool.

Bama shouldn't have been in the National Title game? I think the domination of LSU in the title game that was played in New Orleans shows that they very clearly belonged in the title game.
I think a 3 point OT loss to the team ranked number 1 all season is a bit better than losing to a team that wouldn't have made a bowl without the win over OKie St. And don't hand me the plane crash bs. Okie State was leading by 17 well into the third quarter.
And you're a fine one to be talking about gene pools. I searched far and wide, high and low trying to find a bigger dumb ass than you, and my search has yielded no positive matches.

Are you trying to talk like some gang banger from Oakland? If that's you interpretation of a Southern drawal, then it's one of the worst I've ever seen.
And way to avoid the meat of the comment.

So this is your argument for Alabama not winning 3 in a row. You focus on last year. News flash they won last year that was 1 of three in a row. The question is will they win the next two. So far the only one I've seen that will give them a run for there money is FSU, but do they have the depth to go all the way? Time will tell. I know Alabama has the depth. The second and third string have seen a good bit of play time every game so far this year and they look very good.
