Frank Caliendo should be simulcast on radio for MNF.

The current MNF crew is horrible. Wouldn't it be better if we could watch the game and listen to Frank Caliendo cover the game on radio? Imagine Caliendo's Madden doing a real game? He would also have an endless list of guest appearances Rome, Summerall, Bush, Seinfeld (all Frank).
Even if the MNF crew was the best ever this would still be a funny idea that had high ratings.

First of all i like Tony C.....He kicks butt. Second, the best thing about Frank Caliendo, is that its a treat to see him do all those impersonations. I would lessen EVERYTHING he does if we had to sit through it for a 3 hour football game. What he does is kinda like Vicodon...Works best in small, potent dose's. I dont think he has enough material to do sixteen, 3 hour games....Stand ups comedians only have 5 - 6 different routines...No way, its fine the way it is

Plus, half of the stuff he does is funny cause you can see it..It would be like listening to Family Guy on the raido...It would suck

First of all Tony C is Tony K. Second of all Tony K licks butt is more accurate.
Caliendo would still be funny. He would have 3 hours of new material and would have to improvise but he would handle it. Kornheiser sucks ****. This is the worst crew ever. They could make a Super Bowl suck.

Worst crew ever??? I think you are forgeting the stench that Dennis Miller left on MNF. Do you think Family Guy, or the Simpsons would be funny on the Raido??? I sure as hell dont... The Best, and i mean the best comedians in the world could not do 16, 3 hour sets in as many weeks. Do have any idea how hard it is for them to come up with a hour special for DVD?? Why do you think Chris Rock only has 2 DVD's out?? Its not as easy as you say it is....

The Dennis Miller crew was the beginning of the end for MNF. Evidenced by the fact that it is now on a cable channel. I personally dont think if I smoked a pound of weed I would ever think the Family Guy is funny (dont vote against me for this, this is not the issue). I have heard the Simpson show while in another room and it's still funny. I have heard Caliendo on live radio for hours and it's freakin hilarious. Maybe add Opie & Anthony in with or Dennis Miller, it would be hilarious.

WHAT??? Family Guy is the funniest show on TV. For that there is no debate, no rebutal, no equal....But i will let that slide, for now. But we may have to talk later about the weed...lol

Caliendo is a funny guy, but you just dont have that much material. Blue Collar Comedy Tour went all over the US and did the same act every city. When they had the second tour, they did the same thing

I agree with Rodg...he is fine in small doses but too much of anything is never good

October 17, 2007  11:30 AM ET

He doesn't have the talent or skill to give you any usefull info about the game...it would just be him stuttering/sputtering like Madden for 3 1/2 hours. You would have no clue about the game.

October 17, 2007  11:34 AM ET

All he would have to do is stutter and putter like Madden and it would be 1000% better then this MNF crew.

October 17, 2007  11:51 AM ET

But can he circle a person on the telestrator (when there is only one person in the frame) like Madden? That's what's really been missing from MNF.

How can you vote for a guy who's main argument references the SImpsons and the Family Guy?

October 17, 2007  12:07 PM ET

Hey Goodell, its Tony K, not Tony C, so you lose points with me there.
Second, he does not kick botox, he licks it. I would rather hear Wilbon.
Thirdly, Frank doesnt have to do impersonations for all three hours. He can be himself, and then occasionally turn to invisible partners in the booth and ask them questions like, "Hey Madden, what did you think of that last play? Frank, I gotta say Boom, Pow, Wham! Great point John. How about you Jaws? Well, I gotta say, I would have done it differently myself, but I guess Tom Brady does some things right."
Brilliant s857. I love the idea and you just got your third vote.

Just find a DVD of Caliendo's stand up if you want to hear him for an hour.

A bad MNF crew at least calling the game is better than Caliendo doing impressions during the game and not providing any useful info about the game.

October 17, 2007  12:21 PM ET

But how would Caliendo be at talking over the game while interviewing washed-up B-list celebrities? That seems to be a staple now.

October 17, 2007  12:24 PM ET

The B list celebrities are ending now because of Kimmel so think how boring MNF will be this week.

October 17, 2007  12:26 PM ET

I don't know if Goodell realizes it or not but some comedians are just plain funny. Frank can ad lib through a whole game no problem.

October 17, 2007  02:37 PM ET

Get rid of KORNY, bring on Frank and more guest appearances of Jimmy K. But really...who gives a crap? Just don't let Muskyburger get any where near the show!
