I wanted to TD, but could not think of a sports related one. So I decided to make this non-sport related one. Since the mods appear to be inactive, it should not be a problem.
Topic: Five coolest bridges in the world
Rules: Must be a bridge that carries motor vehicle traffic, no pedestrian bridges.
#1 - Oresund Bridge
This bridge is freaking awesome. It starts of as a long 8 km bridge, but then for the last 4 km is a tunnel! From the sky it appears to be a bridge that just was never complete, but it is. Sooooo cool.
#2 - Golden Gate
It is iconic, and beautiful. We all know it.
#3 - Millau Viaduct
It is the world's tallest, and goes across beautiful scenery.
#4 - Erasmusbrug
Looks like a swan, a very cool looking bridge.
#5 - Tower Bridge
Another classic icon.
Cake & Boobies FTW!

A TD about bridges, Argos ?? Really.
You should change your name to Buzz Killington.
BTW
The Toronto Maple Laffs suck.

Since when were bridges a buzz kill?
They are a great display of artictecturhe and engineering, and should be admired. They can be beautiful structures, even more so beautiful than buildings because of the landscape in which they often appear.
They are structures that over come obstacles to provide passage.
For as long as there has been human, there has been bridges. Bridges started off simply as logs across obstacles, and have been developed and mastered by ancient civilizations and to the point we have them today.
They can be seen as a great metaphor to life and the spirit of man kind to constantly over come obstacles thrown at them.
I leave you with a display of bridges that just narrowly missed my list, along with some pedestrian bridges.
MMTC!!!
If you are gonna ruin a TD, try at least making it entertaining and funny.

Another shining example of why the TD section died. Argos tried to do something different and it gets shit upon. And not even humorously.

Was looking forward to this TD. Let's hope right comes back with Fluff material for his 2nd argument.
Here would be my list:
Number 1 with a Bullet!
The original London Bridge, Lake Havasu, Arizona: this bridge has seen the best tanned women in bikinis (or topless) in the world!
Golden Gate Bridge
Brooklyn Bridge
Sydney Harbor Bridge
Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Bridge

Be prepared FN for my final argument, you will see a cool bridge!

Spent an afternoon drinking under the Rialto bridge in Venice a couple months ago. Good times!
Bridge was completed in 1591.
The view from that bridge is straight out of a Renaissance painting...

For very old Italian bridges I've always liked the Ponte Vecchio in Florence.

Bridges? WTF happened here? What happened to the FN I used to be excited to check every day? What happened to two dudes (or gals) debating sports topics?
What is gonna be the straw that breaks the camels back? At what point will I stop bothering to check FN, even on the occasional schedule that I currently follow?
Why am I even typing these questions? Why not just let them drift off into space and die, like FN?
Why is any of this even bothering me? Why do I miss TD's? Why do I miss sports debates? Why do I bother at all?
I don't know. But I bet none of this will last much longer.

Why am I fighting it? Why not just give in and create a non-sports TD of my own?
