I'm sorry, but when it comes to Jordan, I can't doubt sh8t. haha Hakeem the "dream" was the sh8t, no doubt about it. Loved his feetwork, and guy had an all-around game. I do know the Center position wasn't the Bulls strong suit in the early 90's, but damn, it's Pip n MJ. lol
I believe you would have to have a pair of 2 golden b@llz to accept this 1.
"Riddle me this, Batman!".
Bloggers Needed said 11/14, 11:12 PM
Not only are they golden.
But they weigh 7pounds
Yeah.
I'll take the under.
2 reasons.
Number 1. Jordan plays a HECKUVA lot of minutes and goes into the paint quite often (duh) and waiting?
Pat Riley.
And his clones.
Jordan was getting beat on his entire career. Taking 2 years (well, 1.5) to play baseball did tend to help him health-wise. Players have a major problem playing almost a seasons worth of games extra after a few years.
And let's be honest- Jordan didn't exactly take games off. He went hard EVERY night. That's going to wear on you. Adding a dozen games for the 92, 96 dream teams, add another 20-22 games for the playoffs. That's hurting.
I have a hard time seeing an 8-peat.
Not only is HE taking an extra pounding but so is the Pip.
Plus there's one more reason- coming up NEXT
PCH-R. Barber best BUC eva said 11/14, 11:19 PM
So you're saying the best ever would've got burnt out?
lmao
You have to be kidding, kinda like your "7 lbs" comment. don't lie to the public, it's 2lbs solid. haha
Sure, it's hard seeing an 8 peat, seems ridiculous, but 72-10 was too, of course that doesn't really hit the time span I'm talking about, but still.
NC, lets hear this genius next argument, I'm waiting, im-patiently.
Bloggers Needed said 11/16, 12:30 AM
Geez Twitchy, I never said he would get burnt out.
HE did, of course, when he "retired"
But I never said that. But I do understand word problems give you problems at community. The whole "Name" on the paper, do they mean your name or the teachers, your full name or or Christian, the one your mom says when she's mad at you, etc.
But, I digress.
No. The other part is, Jerry Krause.
He obviously wanted to win without MJ, even had talks to trade Pippen during the FIRST title year, there were even talks of trading him to the Hornets had they won Shaq in the Lottery. (Think on that)
The OJ (Original Jerry) Let Horace go, BJ Armstrong, etc etc all go, and wanted to build around Toni-Toni-Tony. Chances are Jordan would have made that very hard, and with things like Charles to PHX and Shaq to LA, chances are Pippen would have been gone- and as good as MJ is, you are not winning a title with the Splitter as your #2.
PCH-R. Barber best BUC eva said 11/16, 01:28 AM
So now you're saying Pippen would be gone.
Yeah right, man.
Batman and Robin would have not been broken.
This isn't for "NAME SAKE", last i checked, Jordans celebrated by MOST b-ball fans, as the best ever, of course with arguments, but very, very FEW.
Jordan when he went to baseball, was in HIS PRIME. Hakeem prime vs Jordan prime?
really?
Like Lebron and Dwade winning last year without a center, I think Pip n Jordan could do it against Hakeem. #just saying
twitchy?
That's what you got when you saw this on the board, "twitchy", but your arguments tell me nothing but speculation. I'm basing my arguments on skills, and not stats, because "the NAME SAKE" is too relevant here.
Jordan and Pip kept greats like Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, and John Stockton of recieving titles, I think they woulda done the same for the "dream".
Jordan killed Drexler in the 91 finals, and I think he'd do the same a couple years late.
Bloggers Needed said 11/19, 08:18 PM
Ok, So I'm guessing your argument here is Jordan's the GOAT (non-center, inarguable) so of COURSE he wins?
Let's keep in mind that Jordan played almost 20 YEARS and did not get a ring until Isiah got hurt, and Bird got crippled. As great as Jordan was. Let's keep in mind he destroyed Utah twice in the finals, the same Dynamic Duo the Lakers used to slap around in round 2
But back to reality.
Jordan very well could have gotten injured more often with all the extra pounding another 50 games would have done.
There is NO reason to suggest that the Bulls would have kept the band together, and if you don't think the Bulls wouldn't have swapped Pippen in a heartbeat, you are fooling yourself.
That's why I take the under.

What kind of tool? A ****?
In any event, 8 would be very hard. Assuming he hadn't retired, we have no idea if they would have won in any of those 2 years and if they would have brought in Dennis Rodman (and whoever else they got for the 2nd three peat).

Hahaha.
Well, either way I probably shouldn't have called him a tool. 2 minutes for unnecessary roughness. (I apolgiize, David).
I was just frustrated because I interpreted his first arg the same way Peachy and Twins did and I don't really think it's the readers' fault when it's a bit ambiguous.
Anyway, hey, I see you've got the Edmonton update on the city. Let's go out and get a beer soon and commiserate about this damn snow.

This place is crazy. I am back in Vancouver right now just packing up the rest of my stuff for the moving company and there has been no snow at all here. Meanwhile, there is like a foot of it back in Edmonton and my street hasn't been cleared in a week. Ridiculous!

is that what it was. I knew he was having problems. the way his dad passed is just plain out messed up. I couldn't have dealt with a ending like that.

There have been theories that there was more to his first retirement than "having accomplished everything I wanted." I have no proof but to me it makes more sense than a guy as motivated as Jordan and who loved the game as much as he did to just quit after 3 titles. Had he stopped than he might not be considered the best like he is now.
His dad's death was weird and only makes you think he had some issues with bad people. Knowing his gambling history there are dots to be connected. Again it is just a theory but I think there might be something to it. I just don't think he was bored of making millions and winning championships.
BuckyBadger.
