GSP vs Carlos Condit? Welterweight title on the LINE!

He's got NOTHING to lose. And no, I didn't give that quote off the prime time special the other night. lol
He's got NICE standup. Cleaned Hardy's clock.
GSP's standup against Jake Shields wasn't good, semi-shiner. What do you think Condit will do?
Lets not take the interim champion likely. I know GSP's a "GREAT", but Condit's got hella potential, all I'm gonna say. He's pretty much and elite now, but he could hit a higher plateau saturday night.
GSP's layoff, will show a little rust, not a lot, but enough. I see Condit being a huge threat, especially after GSP's long lay off. Can GSP win it? Sure. Either way, this fights going the FULL five rounds, and I have Condit winning 3-2, in GSP's garden.

GSP all day. I know GSP is 100% because GSP would not take this fight if he wasn't.
What is Condit's biggest weakness? Wrestling? What is GSP's greatest strength? Wrestling. GSP will stay on the feet where he has great technical striking and if he feels threatened at all he will shoot for a double leg takedown and drop Condit on his ass.
From there, GSP will smother Condit and completely shutdown his guard.
GSP has a much better ground game and has much better strength.
There is no freaking way Condit wins this unless he clips GSP on the feet and finishes. The problem with that is GSP, since his loss to Matt Serra, just doesn't get hit.
I know people are all worked about about the long layoff and knee, but they are crazy if they think GSP would come into this fight anything less than 100%.
Condit is going to get dominated and he'll find himself and his fans very frustrated.
GSP is the more talented wrestler and MMA fighter i general. Add in the fighter IQ of GSP and its going to be a long night for GSP.

you are SEVERELY underestimating Condit.
Condit is 14-1 in his last 15.
Condit is coming off a big victory against Nick Diaz. Diaz has won 12 in a row coming into Condit.
GSP's not at a 100%, he's about 90%.

Condit is 14-1 in his last 15 fights and GSP is 15-1 in his last 16. Big deal. None of those 14 wins are over a guy like GSP.
Are you GSP's trainer now? 90% huh? You have some great insight pal.
You can throw records out the door. They are meaningless. I've said it a thousand times and I'll say it again, styles makes fights.
Condit doesn't have the style to beat GSP. His takedown defense is not good and he's facing one of the best wrestlers in the sport. He's not going to be able to get off much offense from his back. Hes going to be like a freaking turtle on his back.
Condit's only hope is to clip GSP when the fight is on the feet, but the problem with that is since his loss to Matt Serra, GSP doesn't get rocked. His striking defense is spot on, and his gameplans are too smart for it.
You haven't explained how Condit wins this fight. All I've seen is a list of Condit's wins and your doctor-patient insight on GSP's knee.

Condit tried, but Hendricks? Yeah, that mofo's got GSP's #, and he has the wrestling as well.

Im curious now. I don't know enough to say whose prediction is more likely but I'm gonna keep an eye on this fight and see who called it.
I'm rooting for the Burque boy though, of course.

Great fight by both fighters, and you have to give Condit some credit for finishing strong and still almost pulling off the upset. After this fight I don't think we will be seeing a GSP vs Spider fight anytime soon.

Was it really that one-sided of a fight?
Again, I don't know much about MMA at all but I do remember the announcers talking about this being a dream match-up and just an overall exciting fight.
Is GSP just that much better of a fighter than Condit or something?
Please pardon my ignorance; I'm just trying to learn about this sport.
