Let him leave.
White has threatened to up and quit on the Rockets because of what he perceives as "inconsistency" on their end in terms of helping him battle through his anxiety disorder.
Exactly what he means by "inconsistencies" is unclear to a certain extent but it is believed that White's infamous fear of flying is at least somewhat to blame. White's contract called for him to fly to some games and take a bus to others, and so far that's what's happened.
There may be other factors but so far they haven't been disclosed.
Regardless, the fact remains that White has yet to play in a game this season and has missed all games/practices so far this week. His threat to quit should be the final straw for the Rockets.
So far White has been a non-factor in terms of benefitting Houston. He was a first round draft pick but at this point he seems to have his priorities out of whack.
White obviously cares more about feeling like the Rockets will jump through hoops for him than whether or not he advances his career or even sets foot on a basketball court at any point.
Houston should let him quit if he wants. No player should be bigger than the team, mental illness or not.

Loaded throwdown......I agree they should let him go off the roster, but how to is the ???....Either revoke the contract to push the issue and force him to make a decision or 'place' him in developmental league that requires no travel via plane and have a psychiatirst work with him if he's that good
For a team in rebuild mode after getting shut down in trade options last year it didn't make sense to take a chance in a draft pick that high
