I just heard on the radio that ESPN had a debate about who of the 2 (Bo Jackson vs Deion Sanders).

Gotta go with Bo Knows over the annoying Neon Deion

Deion didn't get hurt, and have to retire like "Bo Knows"...

Sanders was just fast...nothing more...he was a CB instead of a WR because he couldn't catch.

Both were amazing athletes. I seem to recall Deion playing a football game for the Falcons during the day and then a playoff game for the Braves at night. Amazing.

Deion also threw several buckets of ice water in McCarver's face. Bonus points for that.

Class act. Fisk told him, "Real athletes don't make up their own nicknames", or something like that.....

That's a bunch of nonsense.

Deion Sanders had some of the best hands of any cornerback out there. Opposing quarterbacks didn't avoid him like the plague because they were afraid he'd bat the ball innocently to the ground. And the Dallas Cowboys didn't play him at wide receiver because he had bricks for hands.

Hershel Walker may have been better than both of them. NFL, Winter Olympics, MMA.....

Watching Bo run up that outfield wall like he was in the Matrix seals the deal.

He was a better baseball player than Sanders was. And broke more bats over his head.

I think realtively equal on the football field though.

I think he ran back kicks as well.........

This is such a common misconception that people have. The difference between a DB and WR isn't the ability to catch. It is usually 3 inches in height. DBs can catch and Deon had great hands. The whole notion that DBs can't catch is so laymen it isn't even funnny.

Nah, Walker was a great athlete but he wasn't as good at any sport as Deon and Bo where. Well maybe Deon in baseball vs Walker in football.

Bo could have been if it wasn't for the injury.

and yet the difference between guys like WR Santana Moss and most CBs is NOT height, it's the ability to catch...if you look at all of the small WRs, you'll notice that they have great hands, so much so that they overcome the height difference. Which makes the discerning factor the ability to catch...

Walker is like a 3rd degree blackbelt...

"Bo knows basketball, Bo knows hockey, even though Bo didn't know Diddly" Did Deon?

Guys like Charles Woodson and Champ Bailey have great hands as well. The difference with them is the ability to role your hips and move with great speed. They are actually better athletes and both could have played offense.

You have this mindset that if they could be WRs they would be. That simply isn't true. Lots of coaches, especially in college, will look to put their best guys on defense. Also the average CB in the NFL gets paid more than the average WR. Why? Because a shut down corner has more value to a team and is harder to come by. Those guys can catch.

I believe the knock on Deion was he couldn't, or didn't like to takle.

The first time Sanders played against the Red Sox he drew a $ sign in the dirt.....Carlton Fisk told him: Don't dig in rookie, The next pitch is coming at your head ..............It did...........
