I'm a lifelong Dolphins fan. But we have nothing. Ronnie Brown is the only one playing consistent quality ball. Our predicted "elite" defense is garbage. Zach Thomas is injured, Jason Taylor is solid... It's a lost cause.
The weaker NFC is represented by the NFC East, which is the strongest NFC division, and they already lost to the Redskins, which is the weakest team in the division. At least we can get Andre Woodson.

Have you noticed how the Dolphins have had 3 games decide by a field goal? Week 1 against the Skins, they lost 13-16. Week 3 against the Jets, they lost 28-31. Week 5 against Houston, 19-22. The point is, they can stay in games with some teams. (Emphasis on some)

They play in one of the weakest divisions this year. (Exception is obvious) They still play the Jets once more and the Bills twice. They have legitimate shots to win those games.

They may have thrown in the proverbial ???towel??? by trading Chambers, and now they have to rely on Marty Booker and Teddy Ginn Jr., but they have enough offense with Ronnie Brown to be able to stay in these games.

How does comparing them to the NFC East do anything at all? That division has four solid teams, the AFC East has one. They???re in different conferences, it does not matter???

By the way???If the Redskins are the weakest team in the division, which they are, that???s a pretty dang good division.

That is a good division. That's what I'm saying. They play the NFC East this year, and they don't have the firepower to win. The Skins game was a great performance, but the Jets aren't that great and Andre Johnson was out for the Texans. Sure, they can stay in games, but they can't finish games. I love Cleo Lemon, but he doesn't have enough experience, and trading away his best WR will only hurt him. The offense cannot rely solely on Ronnie Brown, that's just too much for one person. He will put up gaudy numbers, but it won't be enough.

Ok, so they play the NFC East, whoop de doo. What I???m saying is that they will win games in their OWN division. Other than the Patriots, the other three teams in that division have a combined TWO wins. TWO! The Jets only beat them by 3 last time, in New York. The Bills are nothing special, they???re in pretty much the same situation as the Phins.

Cleo Lemon just needs to take on a Tarvaris Jackson (Game Manager) role, where he makes smart plays and does not LOSE the game for the team. You want to keep saying a team cannot only rely on a running back? Look at the Vikings last week. Adrian Peterson was the entire offense other than a lucky pass to Troy (Mr. Hands) Williamson. The point is they do not have to beat the NFC East. They have to beat the Bills, the Jets, or the Bengals if they have given up by week 17.

What I'm saying is that I don't think they can beat anyone in the AFC East. The Bills should have beaten the Cowboys. The Jets always beat the Dolphins... always.
New England is just freakish. The Bengals' offense is going to pick the Dolphins' defense apart; Houshmandzadeh, Chad Johnson, Rudi Johnson, and Carson Palmer will gash the defense for big plays.

When teams are playing as poorly as the Dolphins, then someone is bound to overlook them. That's how the Cowboys almost lost to the Bills...The Bills and the Dolphins are basically clones, so those games will be close, and the Dolphins have just enough on offense to beat the injury-riddled Bills D. They are averaging about 20 points per game, giving up about 26 (didnt actually do any math) The Bills are giving up about 23 while scoring about 11 or 12. The Dolphins offense is still there, just no one knows about it.

I don't think it will happen, but how poetic would that be? They would have the dubious honor of being the only franchise to both go undefeated and winless.

good argument secret, plus if you think the skins are the weakest team in that division then what have you been watching?

October 18, 2007  03:25 PM ET

yeah, its the Iggles...

October 18, 2007  03:25 PM ET

i have been watching the NFL a long time and noone has ever gone without a win, and I have seen some bad teams.

October 18, 2007  03:37 PM ET

How come I did the same TD with the Rams last week ( I said there was no way they would go winless) and I lost? Doesn't make sense...

For everyone that says know team ever goes without a win all I can say is shame on you all. How can anyone forget the 0-14 Bucaneers?

October 18, 2007  04:34 PM ET

Being a Skins fan, the best part about that winless season was the QB...Steve Spurrier!!

Poor argument Miami. Washington isn't the worst team in the NFC East, Philadelphia is the worst. Secret makes a better case. Miami could easily beat the Jets in their rematch.

October 18, 2007  07:27 PM ET

They may have lost to Washington, but in their next meeting the Eagles will romp the Redskins. Watch.

October 19, 2007  10:44 AM ET

They arent even the worst team in the NFL.....Buffalo and St Louis are just as bad....Miami will finish 4-12, Lemon isnt a statue like Green and can move.....Brown is a stud and they have been competitive
