Design your ideal perfect athlete, in terms of physical attributes, in as many different sports..

1. NFL QB..
6"4.. Basically Peyton manning..

2. Nba..
Eg lebron..
6"8, big enough to have power..
Small enough to have pace..

3. Baseball
Slugger
Eg mark McGwire.. Papi or manny..
Super big.. Super stocky..
You want to get that body weight behind that bat..
(A-rod is too skinny!)..

4. Baseball, pitcher..
Randy Johnson..
Super freaky tall.. Super freaky skinny..
The weirdest Yankee, ha ha..
He did not belong in that uniform!
The extra height gives you more options..

5. Tennis..
6'2..
Is it just coincidence that federer and Sampras were 6'2..
Great mobility, great for serving..
Any taller and you lose mobility..
Shorter? And you lose the serve..

6. Soccer..
My unconventional pick..
5'5..
Eg messi/maradonna..
A little stocky/bulky/nuggety..
The shortness allows you to dribble around people with your little steps..
The stocky ness means people can't push you off the ball,
And you are less likely to get injured..

7. Tour de France
Armstrong..
Huge heart and lungs..
A little bulkier than the anorexic mountain climbers..
The bulkyness means more power in the legs for time trials..

8. Swimming
Michael phelps

Perfect athlete i would expect to be able to handle any sport , given the challenge. My guys would run the gauntlet , power , speed , accuracy, strategy, results.

NFL
Junior Seau...no question , maybe could have been a Navy Seal, runs into you like a truck , and then jumps over the next guy. {Animal}

NBA
Lebron James

Baseball
Ken Griffey Jr. ...hands down did it all

Baseball pitcher
Greg Maddux...Strikeout master and Gold glove almost every year played.
Randy Johnson ??? u missed that by mile

Tennis ??? umm I guess
Nadal , he played soccer in Spain

Soccer
Cristiano Ronaldo
yes Messi is better all around player , but you said total athlete. Ronaldo has him on power, speed and my guess he jumps higher LOL

Swimming and Tour De France......why?

I don't see where you are coming from in a lot of your examples..

Nadal is a horrible example..
He has the worst knees in the world..
And I'm guessing its cause he is too bulky for tennis..
In tennis you want to be as lean as possible..

Maddux is more of an example of a mental attribute..
He was someone that was forced to think cause he didn't have the scary height of a randy or to a lesser extent, a 6"4 Clemens..
Randy's height gave him an obvious competitive advantage..
And he could create hard angles.. Due to his height..

Griffey isn't bad..
He had the most beautiful swing I have ever seen..
And he was fast, which made great defense..
But I'd rather have your prototypical super stocky slugger..
Like a mo Vaughn.. Someone you know, if he gets his body weight behind the ball.. The ball is gone.. Griffey didn't quite have that type of bulk..

I can't see a difference in junior seau"s build and dozens of other NFL players..
How tall was he?

Lol you said to design the perfect athlete...kinda like Dolph Lundgren in Rocky lol...

Your saying Mo Vaughn ...wow.....Meatball with bat
Your saying Randy Johnson ...wow....Lanky with stilts as legs...he's 6 10 and probaly cant dunk a basketball ...look it up.

Greg Maddux could hit and catch a ball nevermind throw better than 95% of the league when he was playing...sorry sir but you better stick to soccer.

Yes Roger Clemens is a good choice also...As Brian Urlacher in football....theres other choices of coarse , but yours are outlandish.

And im sorry what was the comment about Nadal ?
Again you asked athlete in Tennis? You mentioned he has bad knees? We are talking when these players were in thier prime no? I dont know whos fatter Mo Vaughn or Maradonna.

My choices are obviously better

Ha ha..
Your list involves skill sets..
Mine?
I try and focus on the meat and potatoes..
I focus on pure physical attributes..

Seau ain't bad..
I personally would be more intimated by urlacher and clay"s guns..
Plus, since you like skill sets..
Urlacher hits the hardest..

Yeah I think NFL linebackers are the total real deal athlete....these guys are freaks.

6' 5 245 pure speed and power , can cut on a dime .

Your funny tho , you said design the perfect athlete

and then you picked Peyton Manning Randy Johnson Mo Vaughn Diego Maradonut

dont know where your going here. but good luck

Mark McGwire and Lance Armstrong were steroid users. Their accomplishments are irrelevant because they cheated.

Well I know Ben Rothlessburger cheats. All I have to do is find the evidence.
