This is not an easy throwdown for any takers, so if nobody takes it I'll understand.
Find a NFL franchise that was more embarrassing to themselves and their fans this year.
How can a franchise be more laughable? You can't top it. Well at least not in the NFL. Can anyone take away anything good from this season besides the GM and OC being fired?
from the Tebow trade to the Sanchez butt ram, to Rex Ryans Tattoo, this has been a more entertaining season then anyone of the FRIENDS seasons.
There are franchises out there who have been complete crap for many years but can anyone find another NFL team that has been more embarrassing to be a fan of this year?

Based on mere expectations from the fan base, talent on the roster, and promises from the players, I'll take them Iggles.
Vick vowed to be improved but looked like garbage and now won't restructure his contract, keeping the Eagles on the hook.
Reid looked lost at times and still can't realize that McCoy is his best offensive player and needed to touch the rock.
He also crucified his other coaches, trying to pass the blame off elsewhere and we all saw how that panned out.
The defense... there's so much that you could rant on and on about on how this defense looked crappy.
they started 3-1 despite numerous TOs and looked like if they cleaned it up, they could contend. Instead they imploded.
The entire roster was built fantasy football style and neglected the fact that you need to be able to protect the QB.
Diehard fanbase that had extremely high hopes for the "dream team" and watched one of the most pathetic performances from a team projected so high.
Overall a comedy of errors.
I don't know exactly how you want to do this. Wanna go with the case for your team in arg 2 and then refute the other in arg 3?
Looking forward to this one. should be fun

OK lets start with the hiring of Sparano. They go from one dull OC to another. Sparano couldn't get the offence moving in Miami so why would anyone in their right mind hire him in New York?
Now move to the Tim Tebow trade. The Jets front office bragged and bragged about running the wildcat with Tim and using Tim in all sorts of offensive situations. Yet he prob really only averaged 3 plays a game (if you don't count the punts) So they completely lied to the fan base. The same fan base that spent all the $$ on Tebow Jerseys and season tickets.
then you have the Santonio Holmes and Revis Island Injuries. Their 2 best players on both sides of the ball out for the season.
Now lets get to the highlight of the season. Rex Ryan and his big mouth plus Mark Sanchez and all of his turnovers. Rex Ryan fed the fans **** after **** explaining how good the Jets were even after a terrible loss. And then continues to tell you how good Mark Sanchez is.
How good can you be if you lead the league in turnovers 2 seasons in a row? Yet he wouldn't swallow any pride and start Tebow for a game to see how he did. Even after the **** fumble and 3 picks.

It all starts with the Super Bowl aspirations that numerous players brought up and addressed, even going to the point of guaranteeing it. Even rex wasn't that stupid this year.
Once that happens, and you have as much raw talent as the Eagles have, the fan base says "well hell i think we're gonna do it this year." and in a city like philly that lives and breathes sports, this is just a recipe for disaster.
the season started well from a w-l standpoint going 3-1 and that got the fan base swelled up and pundits saying this was the future champ, etc. what happened next is utterly and completely inexplicable for a team with this much skill.
They lose 8 damn straight games and 11 of 12 to end the year, vick gets concussed and shows once again he can't stay healthy (or read a defense for that matter), desean jackson keeps on chirping off and gets hurt himself. the D coord gets fired and the team responds by continuing to lose. reid continuously keeps saying that the coaches will do better and that this is on him yet keeps on desperately trying to save himself by crucifying coaches and players left and right.
this team went from super bowl or bust to busted reallll quick.

Rex Ryan NEVER EVER shy'd away from telling everyone how good the Jets were gonna be and expected to be. He's done it every year since he got there.
Oh and by the way, of all the seasons Vick has played, how many of them did he play a full season? His missing games is expected to be expected.
C'mon guy you got to admit the whole Sanchez debacle was the lowest of the low. Turnover after turnover, the lowest completion % among starters and yet week after week we were told he's the Best QB for the job. Tim Tebow may not put up typical QB #'s but he was able to win games and not turn the ball over. the poor guy should have been given a chance but Rex Ryan couldn't risk his job by allowing Tim to succeed.

I'll admit the Jets were a train wreck. That much is clear. But to be truthful, who didn't see that coming??
The jets did the stupidest thing possible in bringing in tebow, who although a terrible passer, wins games and fans love. everyone knew this was going to destroy any confidence sanchez had. ryan did all he could (even though it was incredibly foolish) to try to keep showing sanchez he had confidence in him.
really all along, the media and the fans knew that the jets were poised to be a train wreck disaster that was just waiting to implode like they have almost every single year under ryan. it seems almost inevitable. Then once they started to go, ryan had no choice but to do what he could to try to SAVE his own ****. he knew he couldn't put tebow in or if tebow even won one game, ryan would be toast.
what i'm trying to say is that yes the jets were terrible, but they brought it on themselves and the fans knew it was coming all along. yes the were embarrassing to themselves, but to fans and pundits, hey at least it was entertaining.
the eagles on the other hand were picked for SB aspirations and looked utterly pathetic. That's why id say theyre more embarrassing
