Who wins in the NFC title & AFC title games?

I got.. of course.. The Falcons.

I like the Falcons here. Michael Turner ran effectively on the Seahawks last week, and so did Jaquizz Rogers when given the chance. Matt Ryan needs to jump on the 9'ers early, and they need to try better to hold the lead. Possibly being cut throat on offense. Falcons were in the first of the game vs the Seahawks, 20-0, but after the half, Seahawks went wild.

Crabtree, ballin out. Vernon Davis vet, Navarro n Willis, beasts, Justin Smith, the "plug". Not to mention Kaepernick running better than Vick. (set record last week) Can't forget about the leading rusher in 9'ers history, Gore.

They're scary, but I see the Falcons winning a close one. I havn't seen a team yet that just totally altered the passing game for the Falcons, minus the AZ game. Julio, Roddy White, and Tony Gonzalez are ALL reliable. More so the vets than the sophmore in the league, Julio. You know Julio's open like Waffle House, 24-7. haha You have Abraham, and one helluva a secondary to tend with. I don't see Kaepernick running for over a 100 this game, and the key factors in this game, ONE, being in the Dome for the Falcons

The 49ers will be too much for the Falcons.

The Niners roll in with the best defense left in the playoffs. They will completely shut down the Falcons terrible running game forcing Atlanta to be one dimensional on offense. Once this happens, the Niners will tee off on Matt Ryan with their vaunted pass rush.

The Niners on offense will stuff it down the throats of Atlanta's 21st ranked rushing defense. This will force 8 guys in the box and Kaepernick will be able to exploit the Atlanta secondary once this happens.

I haven't even brought up Kaeprnick's legs. This adds another dimension for SF and adds another concern for the Atlanta defense.

Atlanta has finally gotten the playoff win off their backs, which caused quite a relief for their organization, but the ride ends this week to the superior team.

And I say superior because that's what the 49ers are. Better on defense and more balanced on offense.

49ers win the NFC championship.

yeah, right. Follow the media's coattails.

As for my AFC champion.

I have the Pats. I would love to see Ray Ray win it, but I doubt it happens.

The Purple Bird Gang's streak has to come to an end sometime.

Brady's an executioner, and it will show again.

I expect this to be tight till the 4th qtr. Also, don't underestimate the Pat's d, they make plays when need be.

KAEPERNICK hasn't played as good on the road, look up the stats, cheif!

I got the Pats 34-20. Few reasons why.

1. Baltimore is not as good as earlier in the season while NE is better.

2. The game is in Foxboro where Brady and the Pats are almost unbeatable.

3. The Ravens defense has been on the field for 87 plays per game the last two weeks. They played a double OT game in Denver last week, and now they're playing a team that was 9 plays away from setting the NFL record for plays in a season. The Pats up tempo offense will wear down a tiring Baltimore defense.

4. Baltimore's defense has given up an average of 409 yards and 28 1st downs the last two weeks. They can't get off the field on 3rd down and they're now facing the NFL's #1 offense in yards, points, and 3rd down conversions.

5. The addition of Talib makes the Pats secondary better than it has been in 5 years. The Pats rushing defense is top 10 in the NFL. They will slow the run down and force Flacco into mistakes.

I don't use history as an indicator of how this game will go because its pointless. The Pats have too many weapons for Baltimore and win handily.

This leaves us with 1 arg on the NFC side. Good luck.

This is a FACT...

The 49'ers have lost their last 5 road playoff games.

Mr. Sean Weatherspoon played Kaepernick twice in college. You know, the guy that gave Rg3 a concussion?

The monkey's finally off Matt Ryan's back. The 9'ers better not blame the loss on the Jet Lag. Nolan wins against his old team.

Also, wind or no wind, I'll take my chances with Matt Bryant kicking the ball. The reason I say this, is because this game will be close. Akers, he's been playing like trash, so no wind, he still might miss one. lol

I have respect for the 49'ers, and I felt sorry for them last season. That Williams guy fumbling twice pretty much threw Eli into the Big Dance, a.k.a Super Bowl. Like I stated earlier, the Falcons receiving corpse is dirt mud nasty, and I have not seen them contained all season. With the seahawks db's being a hair bit better, I think the Falcons will be alright. Roddy and Julio are pretty damn athletic, and they'll get their right foot foward over the line. As far as the AFC title game, I'm hoping the Ravens win, but it's Brady, yeah, it's Brady.

The 49ers last road playoff loss was in the 2002 season. Guess how many players from that 49ers team are on this current version? I'll give you a hint. Its less than 1.

Akers has struggled this season, but I don't see it coming down to a FG. I see the 49ers pretty much taking control of this game early and imposing their will on the Falcons.

Listen, I get you're a Falcons fan and you should be optimistic but the numbers don't add up for Atlanta. The 49ers were 4th in rushing this season, while Atlanta was 21st against the run. The 49ers were 4th against the run this season, while Atlanta was 29th in rushing.

What does this tell us? It tells us the 49ers hold a serious advantage in the trenches. Their O line might be the best in football, so what could Atlanta possibly do to slow them down? They won't be able to stop the run and they won't get any pressure on Kaepernick.

I expect Ryan and his receivers to make plays, because they are extremely talented. But they won't make enough. The 49ers will be able to stop the run with 7, giving them more defenders to stop the pass.

All things being equal the 49ers are going to win because they are just better than Atlanta.

The Falcons have a chance. This game will come down to the play of Kaepernick. If he plays like last week, 49ers win. If he has a really bad game like a Rookie QB can have occasionaly especially playing in his second playoff game then Atlanta wins. If he has an average game it will be a toss up!

I give them a 0.0 shot in that game.

Come on Jim that is way too low. They're facing a Rookie QB and very few rookie QBs make it to the SB.

Except for the fact he's not a rookie QB and I am tired of reading this not just from fans but from the number of "professionals" who keep saying it. He is a 2nd year player, first year starter. That is a big difference from a rookie.

Ok, so you state who you think will win then post an entire argument, but Jim was just supposed to say, "well I guess I'll take the 49ers."?

I diagree.

He's still a first year starter in his second year in the league, that's not that much above a rookie. If he had started his whole first year that would be a big difference BUT he didn't! He's still a rookie to starting in the playoffs and to starting an NFC Championship game. Like it or not.

I wonder who Jim will pick to win the AFC??????

I just can't guess....<Pats>.....I have no idea.....

Unless PCHY picks them first!

That could be fun seeing Jim agrue the Ravens over his Pats.
