Jacoby Jones should have won the Superbowl MVP.

What else did he need, a rushing touchdown?

Hats off to Flacco for his remarkable post season, but, Jones broke the game wide open, not once, but twice.

Sorry but you can't give it to a guy who made 2 plays the whole game. One of those plays was a pass from Flacco. so that play is 1/2 Flacco's credit. so he made 1-1/2 plays.

Flacco deserved it. 287 yards passing, 3 TD passes, and no turnovers.

And you can't break the game wide open twice with 2 TD's in a row. If he broke it open with his first TD how did he do it again with the next one? The game was already broken wide open with the first one. YOu can't break a game wide open TWICE like that.

two plays????

THAT'S IT!!!????

Try motherfkn 290 all purpose yards, a SUPERBOWL RECORD

Does Desmond Howard ring a bell with you?

Flacco 287 yards passing versus the 3rd string wide receiver and return specialist giving them 290 yards.

Both scores for Jacoby Jones were pivotal, right be4 the end of the first half, and right when the 2nd half began.

give me **** break..

they rewarded Joe Flacco for the post season as a whole, because Jones was more deserving last night by a hair on my chinny chin chin.

nice try, t-bubz

Desmond Howards MVP was also a result of his post season. He was hot all post season and it continued into the SuperBowl.

Flacco played a great game, no mistakes and put the ball where it needed to be time after time.

I'm not denying Jones had a great game but the fact of the matter is you need to be a QB to get all the awards nowadays or in AP's exception, get over 2000 yards rushing. Thats just the way the league is these days.

Jones also became the first player in Super Bowl history to have a return touchdown and receiving touchdown in a Super Bowl.

Desmond Howard, when he won SB MVP, only had 244 yards all purpose yards, Jones 290.

Jones broke or tied four records. He leaves the game a Super Bowl Champion, but should have left with more.

Desmond Howard Returns put GB in scoring position time and time again in a close battle. And his 98 yard return put the game out of reach. Each one was at a critical point in the game. big difference from a team that is up 21-6 vs 27-21. Desmond Howards return is a return that broke the other teams back. Not the case in Jones return.

Flacco kept the offense focused and threw critical 1st down passes time and time again. tossing 3 TD's and setting up 2 FG's. That was much more productive IMO.

It's amazing how strong the collective hate for Joe Flacco is.

He goes 11 TD, 0 INT in the playoffs, wins the Super Bowl MVP, and the haters still don't want to give him credit.

At least they didn't give it to Ray Lewis. I saw some sports writer speculating that Ray Lewis would win the SB MVP even if the Ravens lost.

It is odd.

Not sure what hate you are referring to, but to me he didn't deserve the MVP of the SB and a 4 game stretch where he heaved up 50-50 balls where his receiver came down with it every time still doesn't make him a top tier QB. The guy is not elite, will never be and the Ravens giving him a boatload of money won't change those facts. I'm just glad the Ravens are done now and I won't have to hear about them anymore.

Most of the NFL's better quarterbacks do get a lot of help from their receivers. Double standards to hold it against some guys and not others.

Un, stop please, stop! Ray Lewis Mvp? come on, man!

February 5, 2013  08:17 AM ET

Un, nobodies "hating" on Flacco. It's just giving props where it's due. Jacoby had a sensational game.

Flacco's about to get paid. #dolla_dolla_bills_ya'll

Everything turned up roses over a 4 game stretch for him. That still doesn't make him an upper echelon QB. His overall resume makes it pretty clear he's not.

I disagree. RIGHT NOW, Flacco the "flamingo" is tied with the GREAT Peyton Manning for playoff wins. #pretty_wild

i felt jones deserved it for the one game performance that is super bowl mvp. flacco had an amazing post season. if he continues this next year, then ya he goes to the upper echelon. if he plays how he did this regular season, he falls back. no way i'm giving him the brees money the ravens will
