The Raptors will make the playoffs.

They are currently 4 games back and chasing the Bucks. The Bucks are trending downwards, and falling in the standings fast. The Bucks have lost 9 of their last 11.

Toronto on the other hand is trending up. They started terrible, 4-19, but have since been 19-14, which isn't great but better than the Knicks, who are 3rd, in that same time period and a pace good enough for the playoffs. Since the Gay trade, the Raps are 7-3, with 6 wins against playoff teams. Since Gay has got use to the team a little, they are 6-1.

The Bucks have 20 games left against top 20 teams, and only 8 games against bottom feeders.
The Raps have have 15 games left against top 20 teams, and 11 against bottom 10.

Since the 76'ers (10th place) 10-7 start, they are 12-25. They wont be making it either.

The Lakers are only 2.5 games back, but are trying to catch good teams. Houston had a 7 game skid in mid-season where they lost 7 straight, but have recovered nicely and are playing well. No West team is falling like the Bucks. Plus the Lakers have 14 games left against playoff teams.

I agree with you...the Raptors will make it!!

Kobe and his Lakers suck!!!

GO RAPTORS!!!!!!

I don't think you get the idea behind what a TD is...

A TD is when a football player gets in the end-zone with the football!!

Well after the last two games, in which the Raps played terrible, they pretty much lost all hope.

Andrea Bargnani should never see the court again, he is terrible. Meanwhile, JV, has a very, very bright future in this league. The 20-year old in his rookie, has a 20.5% TRB% and a 4.2% BLK% His offensive game is coming along too, though can still need some polishing. But he needs to play more than the 21 minutes a game he has been.

I think both teams make it. Just more confident in the Raptors.

Strong opening argument.

I have to admit, Toronto has looked better with Gay than I expected. I've never been a huge fan of Gay's game and I was not surprised to see Memphis look better offensively immediately after dealing Gay, but Toronto also looks better after the Gay deal and in all honesty I find that shocking.

I think the Lakers have the better chance, just because they have proven players that can step up or get hot at any time, which could carry them into the playoffs. I think both teams are gonna make it, but I just think the Lakers are gonna hit a stride.

The TD is still open if you can forge what you just said into 1,200 characters.

They already have hit a "stride." They are 11-4 in their last 15 games and are playing their best basketball of the season...

But in their last 15 games they've lost to Boston, Miami, Pehonix and the Clippers. The only good team they've beat is the Thunder, which admittedly was a good win.

Point being, they're losing to good teams and beating bad teams.

Not much confidence in a streak like that.

Plus, you just know Dwight Howard isn't happy, which means his effort is gonna be inconsistent, at best.

True they got blown out by Boston in beantown, but they also blew the Celtics out in LA.

My bad, I must've missed that one.

Ok, well they've garnered two good ones during their streak.

Still not impressed.

I like your definition of what a TD is BGM. No one can argue that!
