Although Eric Fisher displayed brilliant blocking abilities at the Senior Bowl this year, I feel the better overall Offensive Tackle is Lane Johnson. It is nearly a certainty that big Luke will be the first tackle taken, and rightfully so, He is a dominant force. However if you are looking for the player with the better overall athletic ability, and possibility of being a cornerstone for years to come, it is Oklahoma's Lane Johnson. Early in the season he was a relative unknown, but once he got a true handle on what he needed to do as an offensive tackle, he straight up dominated. He is only 4 years removed from being a high school quarterback, and has been a quick learner while playing multiple positions on the offensive line for the Sooners. I can not wait to see what this kid can do with the help of an NFL offensive line coach at his disposal, Scary Good!

Both Fisher and Johnson are really good so this is somewhat a case of splitting hairs, but whatevs. I'm gonna give it a whirl.
First off, I don't necessarily agree that Joeckel is the obvious number one choice, mainly because I didn't see anything from him that separates him from Fisher or Johnson, but for the purpose of this TD I'll let it go and just say Joeckel will be drafted first. I honestly believe that this may be one of the best O-Line drafts of all time; Joeckel, Fisher, Johnson, Fluker, Warmack, Cooper, even Barrett Jones... there will be quality, starter-caliber O-Linemen being selected in the second and third rounds, easily, but I digress...
Reasons Fisher should be selected before Johnson:
-Fisher is infinitely stronger than Johnson. No doubt about it. And strength is critical for left tackles.
-Johnson played on a good line, meaning his flaws may have been masked. Not so with Fisher; what you saw is what you'll get.
-Johnson' lack of experience. One year of right tackle, one year of left tackle, no HS experience. Fisher's been blocking his whole life.
-Fisher's leadership. Three year starter at Central Michigan, voted team captain.
