Only reason I'm giving it that, is Floyd did display great offense. I think he connected on 60% of his power punches, could be wrong.
Floyd is so slick. It kinda left a bad taste in my mouth after paying 60 bucks.
Floyd either does the damn defensive shoulder roll or uses his quick reflexes and head movement to get out of the way.
Guerrero didn't stand a chance. I was totally over playing his performance against Andre Berto. lol
Guerrero will wreck havoc, but I hope he never fights Floyd again. Hats off to Mayweather I guess, he handpicked another good 1. lol

I'll give this fight a C. The reason I give it a C is because it went exactly as expected. Floyd Mayweather, the 5 to 1 favorite in this fight, dominated all 12 rounds. He proved to be his "showboating" self as he came out to the fight with Lil Wayne by his side.
Mayweather did in fact land 60% of his power punches which is an incredibly high number. It was exactly the kind of fight that you wanted to see if you were a Mayweather fan. Guerrero got cut in the 5th round above his eye and Mayweather never looked back.
Mayweather proved to everyone out there that even though he hadn't fought in a year, he was still the greatest fighter alive.
I give this fight a C because it was exactly what everyone expected it would be and if Mayweather would've knocked out Guerrero like he wanted to, this would be a B+ fight. But because he wasn't able to I give it a C.

I don't think it went just like everybody expected. I think some people, a.k.a boxing fans, thought Guerrero could bring a little fireworks. Cotto brought the pressure. Sure, he was picked by Mayweather and Guerrero is pretty slow, but he did just come off a fight of the year candidate type fight.
Can we say dirty boxing with him and Berto?
Mayweather's offensive game was effective, but the fight itself, sucked.
I'll stick with my D+>C
An average fight would've at least seen 3 good rounds contested. Guerrero didn't do sh8t.
If you bought the pay per view, it left a salty taste is your mouth. I mean, Mayweather was never in trouble, more credit to him, but in the grand scheme of things, Mayweather's the one that made this fight.
Juan Manual Marquez vs Mayweather was an extreme bore fest. zzzzzzzzzzzzz
I think Guerrero vs Mayweather was mighty close to that performance. You know, Mayweather just doing everything.
On the real, Mayweather needs to pick back up the competition level, no offense to Guerrero, but he didn't have a chance.

Going into the fight it was never a question of whether or not Mayweather was going to win or not, it was a question of whether or not Guerrero was going to get knocked out of put up a fight. He did neither but it was enticing to see whether or not Mayweather could finish Guerrero.
Any fight with an undefeated fighter should be rated higher than a D, no matter what the performance was like. Mayweather always puts on a show and is exciting to watch because he lands a lot of punches and always has good fights.
The fact that he was able to land more than half of his power punches really makes the fight more exciting to me because you never knew if Guerrero could stand the blows or not.
I still believe that this was a C fight and that you are being too harsh by giving it a D+.

Did you hear Robert Guerrero's dad bitchin after the fight?
He said, "Floyd runs around like a phkn chicken!"
Floyd was impressive, but boxing fans don't pay money to see one hit, then run 'arounds.
TOE 2 TOE action is not Floyd Mayweather. Then you add in, he has Ellerbe checking dvd's/blu-rays of Floyd's future opposition. They check that sh8t to a T, why his fights are ZZZZZZZZ..
Floyd's a marketing genius, and that's more impressive than anything. People buy fights to see FIGHTS, not "pop, pop", get out the kitchen.

As a true boxing man, I thought the fight deserved a C. It went the whole 12 rounds, wasn't a short fight, and it had two big name fighters in it. Mayweather dominated but didn't dominate enough to knock Guerrero out.
Floyd was Floyd and boxed like a 5 to 1 favorite was suppose to. He landed the majority of his punches which makes for an entertaining fight. Guerrero could barely touch Mayweather and thats what made this such a convincing win.
All in all it was a decent fight and I give it a C grade.
