Ok. O.J. Mayo is not the Kevin Durant of 07-08, but he's not as overrated as everyone who's left a comment on this TD has said. And Kevin Love's a center, and he's a freshman, while D.J. White has 3 years of college level experience. He was named a Freshman All-American by both rivals.com and collegeinsiders.com. Mayo may be a long shot, but to me I think its hit or miss. He could be the best freshman in the country, or he could just be decent.


Kevin Love is a PF/C. While D.J. White has more college experience, he plays in the Big 10, which is overrated. I wanted to put Mayo on the list, but I had to leave him off due to the fact that I think Budinger and Collison will have phenomenal years. Also, I think USC's way overrated. UCLA is easily the best team in the conference and I'm even saying they might be the best in the nation when it's all said and done.


As always, UCLA has a great chance of being on of the nation's top teams. I just think Love won't stand out in his freshman year. Mayo will have the spotlight on him all year round, and like I said, he'll either buckel under the pressure our he'll have a great year.


Love will stand out his freshman year. Mark my words. He can hit an NBA 3, post up down low, and even plays defense. Everyone loves this kid. Walt Hazzard gave him permission to wear his old number, 42, which is retired, and he has regularly asked basketball god John Wooden for advice. Because of this, he has a good chance of being a freshman phenom this year. As for Mayo, he has a reputation. He once assaulted a ref, and got caught with marijuana. These actions mean he will crack under pressure.

I just think people have grown tired of Mayo. He has had NBA hype on him forever, but now that he has actually made it to college I think he will show us all what the fuss was about.
