Please try and make at least two changes. Thanks.

Gonna jump in with both feet.

After looking at your list and looking at several stats sheets, I see you only leave TWO possible choices for debate.

I will trade Chris Sale and add Patrick Corbin of the D-Backs.

Corbin has better all around numbers than Sale and meets the criteria under 25.

This season Corbin has posted a 2.40 ERA with 99 strikeouts and a very low 0.98 WHIP.

While Sale is having a good year for the White Sox his numbers only exceeds Corbin's in K's. He is more of a strike out pitcher but he also gives up more dingers than Corbin. And Corbin pitching in the hot dry air of Arizona that is a tougher duty.

I looked and you chose the highest BA and offensive stats for all the other position players under 25 in the league except for one position, RF.

Even though I argued Puig should not have been voted into the ASG on the final vote, I did admit to the kid having some serious skills.

I will take Puig over Stanton at this point in their career.

I will save this argument for the second go around.

Nice flip flop on Puig. Yesterday he was a nobody and you were all fired up to make sure you wouldn't be forced to bear watching him in the ASG.

Now you're dropping Giancarlo Stanton to add Puig to your team?

Stanton is MLB's purest power hitter right now. Puig, although talented, is a young upstart with a month and a half under his belt.

I'll take the guy who has proven over the last several years to be baseball's strongest hitter over the guy who we don't know real well, other than we know that he certainly is due for a regression to the mean.

That's my problem with Puig. All we know about the guy is what we've seen so far, which means from here on out, as his level of play evens out, we have no idea what to expect from him.

Stanton is a known commodity. A pure power hitter. MLB's best pure power hitter. I like to invest with confidence. Gambling never looked good on me. And therefore I would take Stanton over Puig all day.

Next... are you really saying that Corbin, who pitches in the NL West, has a tougher job than Chris Sale, who pitches in the AL Central?

If we know anything about pitching, it's that it's MUCH easier to dominate the NL than the AL.

i'd take out gyorko for altuve. i like his speed which is big for me at 2nd base. plus a little more experience.

July 12, 2013  02:03 AM ET

only other place i could see changes is in pitching staff

July 12, 2013  02:35 AM ET

Take it.

July 12, 2013  04:57 AM ET

I could think of two maybe three changes I could make, but it's really splitting hairs.

Hell, I would pay some serious wedge to watch this team play...

July 12, 2013  10:47 AM ET

squeal like a PUIG!!!!!!!!!!

July 12, 2013  11:38 AM ET

very limited options other than listed

July 12, 2013  12:14 PM ET

2nd, LF, and RF are really the only arguable positions.

July 12, 2013  12:18 PM ET

Marte over Harper in left. Altuve at 2nd, since Gyorko is only just now starting his rehab assignment after a month.

Those would've been my other changes.

July 12, 2013  01:31 PM ET

I could not take Marte over Harper. Gyorko's OPS+, OBP and SLG is all higher than Altuve but one could argue the speed factor that Altuve has.

Guess the question is, is this an "All-NBA" selection type team, or is it make a team built to actually play together?

If its a team meant to play together, a case could be made for a more cohesive lineup.

2B - Altuve
LF - Marte
CF - Trout
RF - Puig
3B - Machado
1B - Freeman
SS - Segura
C - Perez

Really not well defined. I took it on the assumption, the best talent I could put on the field at each position , all under the age of 25.....whether they play well together or not.

Not a very strong case, though.

Harper is one of the more highly rated prospects to ever play MLB and so far he hasn't done anything to make us question why he was rated so highly.

Starling Marte is a great young player but nobody would take him over Bryce.

Um... was there any other way to take it?

Obviously I meant make the best team with players under the age of 25. I honestly don't see how it was poorly defined or confusing. I'm not asking you to list current Stat leaders by position. That would be pointless.

Just supposed to make the best team possible with players under 25. And judging by the way you argued it you understood.

I'd take my team over yours a million times without wavering. Not sure how replacing Stanton with Puig or Gyorko with Altuve makes your team "more cohesive", anyway.

For all you know Puig and Altuve are mortal enemies. Or maybe Altuve is banging Puig's sidepiece.

I prefer Sale over Corbin, and Puig (has a much better upside) over Stanton (Stanton has sort of flattened out). Stuck in neutral, need more convincing IMO.

July 13, 2013  02:37 PM ET

MF has a really good team. Only change I could potentially consider would have been Simmons at SS (since he is so good defensively, and has a higher ceiling), or Shelby Miller or Matt Moore over Jose Fernandez or Strasburg (cause of injury concerns), but that one is close. But I think MF hit the nail on the head with his lineup and rotation.

If it just had to be a reliever (not sure if it was guys that have saves only or not), then for sure a change should have been made to either Smyly or Rosenthal.

Puig over Stanton? Seriously?

Puig will fade, as he has zero plate discipline and swing at all, and doesn't have the plate coverage to be doing that like Vladdy had.

Stanton is absolutely incredible. The best power hitter in the game, even if he has struggled with some injuries today. To hit 37 homers last season, in only 123 games, in that joke of a ballpark in Miami is incredible. Stanton will probably become the best power hitter of his generation. He is something else to watch.

Easy.

Altuve is from Venezuela. Puig is from Cuba.

Venezuela is very left leaning and far socialist. Cuba is communist and very left leaning.

Venezuela's older leader, Hugo Chavez, was great buddies with the Castro brothers in Cuba.

Therefore, all Venezuelans and Cubans get along great, and working together make things more cohesive.

If those were your players on your team, your lineup construction is really ****. You have your second worst hitter getting the team's most at bats.
