9. Baltimore Orioles (81-70, 3rd AL East/Wild Card)
10. Cincinnati Reds (87-66, 2nd NL Central/Wild Card)

I just don't see the Rangers holding on to that spot.

I think the rangers will get a 2nd wind and just hold..
Every team goes through funks..
Texas had a fine win over the rays last night..

I still think that the reds have a better chance of advancing further than Baltimore or Texas..
Especially now that cueto looks to be back..
That gives the reds a latos, arroyo, cueto and bailey/leake starting rotation..
That's pretty good..

I'm just not a believer in the braves..
They have had too many post season failures over the last 23 years..
And there team now is worse than it was in the 90's, when they only got it done once..

I really like the dodgers and would be very scared to play them..
Kershaw is freakin nasty..
And ever since they put Puig in the line up, they have had an extra bounce to their step..

We both agree that the tigers are the best in the AL..
Verlander and scherzel is just too dominating..
However, their has been a recent trend to suggest that the NL is a stronger league..
That's the reason why I couldn't put the tigers as number one..

1. Detroit Tigers

Once we reach the postseason, the Tigers are going to be topping any other team. Of the other top contenders, they are easily the most experienced in the post season, having gone to the World Series last year. Not to mention, they may be the most well-rounded team in baseball at the moment as well. They're hot too, winning 7 of their last 10.

2. Boston Red Sox

What more is there to say? They've got the best record in baseball and lead a highly competitive AL. They're also one of the best home teams in baseball at 51-27 so that will help them in the postseason as well. They may not be the same Red Sox but they're still gonna be good.

3. Atlanta Braves

Similar train of thought as the Tigers in that this team has been there before. It's not long for teams that taste greatness to finally put it together. Home field advantage will help them as well, as they had the best home record in the MLB. That offense is gonna be hard to stop.

4. Los Angeles Dodgers

Based off pure talent, this team is gonna make it past the first round. They'll run into trouble once they face either the tested Braves or one of the up-and-coming teams.

More to come...

You have rays too low on your list..
Out of all the wild card teams..
The rays are poised to make the deepest run..
They have one of the deepest starting rotations in baseball..
And it would not surprise me if the rays could knock out Boston or Oakland..

The rangers are still holding on!!
It looks like the last wild card will go to Texas or Cleveland..
We all know Texas has more talent..
Not sure why you picked orioles..
It's a cute team, but it wasn't built to make the play offs this year..

You also have pirates too high..
I can't wait to read about you defending Pitt..
I just don't see them making much noise come play off time..

Agree with right on the Rangers.

I like the team but they're ****-ing up right now, big time.

The Braves have a good offense, but their pitching has been excellent.

AXZ has the Orioles on the list and they won't make the playoff. That's what AXZ gets for letting this go zombie!
