Red Sox win in a tight 7..

Lester will outpitch wainwright tonight..
Lester is on.. And wainwright's mechanics were off last time..
Plus the umps were **** in game 3.. So we are still playing with a chip on our shoulder..

In game 6, wacha will be too good for lackey..
Wacha is virtually unhittable at the moment..
And lackey just isn't very good..

Bu game 7 will be ours.. The Red Sox will be just too good for a suspect cardinals..
Boston has the luxury of peavy starting and possibly bucholz in relief..
That is just too nasty..

MTC..

I don't see the Red Sox beating either Wainwright or Wacha.

Here's why they won't beat Wainwright. The guy is a world class pitcher all the time but he is a postseason specialist. Wainwright has a career postseason record of 4-2 and an ERA of just 2.37. His career postseason WHIP is 0.956 and his K/9 is 9.8.

In other words Wainwright is basically a Hall of Fame pitcher in the postseason.

Sachs doesn't have the long resume Wainwright has but he's obviously been one of MLB's best postseason pitchers this year, posting a 4-0 record in 4 postseason starts, and his peripherals are off the charts.

Wacha's postseason ERA is just .100, and his WHIP is an astonishing .704. Again it's a small sample size but those numbers show that Wacha is 1) not afraid of the moment and 2) capable of being one of the best postseason pitching weapons in the game right now.

Couple those dominant pitchers with a seasoned vet like Yadier Molina behind the plate and St. Louis has a battery capable of completely negating the strength of the opposition.

The Red Sox are a great team and a great story but the Cardinals are just too good on the mound. Wainwright and Sachs will end it is six.

St. Louis has been asleep for sometime,, according to the surgeon..

Wainwright is probably better than Lester..
But Lester has his boys backing him up..

The Red Sox have shown in the series vs Detroit AND the cards..
We take an insane amount of pitches and the elite starter is lucky to go 6 innings..
We don't have the flashiest offense.. But we make the cream of the crop pitchers work harder than a 40er woman at a bar trying to get married..

Plus we have big papi, who is batting well over .500..
And gets alot of walks too..

I won't lie, as a sox fan I'm still nervous..
Cards will probably win tomorrow behind (Goldman)-Sachs:) ha ha noice one!
Awesome nickname! Cause wacha is doing better this post season than the number one investment bank on Wall Street goldmansachs..

Sooo it comes down to peavy, bucholz and home field advantage on Halloween..
It's going to be a Halloween to remember..
If the sox win, I will meet my future wife in thigh high leather boots!
If the sox lose.. I will bone another 40er..

Lol, clever bit there about Wacha AKA Sachs.

Ok so you were correctomundo about Game 5. Sorta takes the wind out of my sails, seeing as how I was dead wrong on my prediction and all... but what the hey. Predictions were meant to be broken.

Anyhoo, obviously this is the part where I go on and on about Wacha and how the Cardinals are gonna win Game 6, and then intimately Game 7 as well.

So... without further ado, let me say the Cards are gonna win Game 6.

And then Game 7.

We were both wrong!
But I was closer..

The Frogmaster hath spoken. He was less wrong. I believe all I have going for me at this point if a continued respect for the deteriorated timer.

Anywho how the **** did John Lackey beat Michael Wacha, that's what I want to know.

Also why couldn't the Cardinals ever prevent David Ortiz from getting on base? I know he's supposed to be "clutch" and all that and I enjoy that aspect of Ortiz, a player who I can't help but like.

But he got on base 19 out of a possible 25 times in the World Series. What's that all about? How is that possible? He had 11 hits in the WS, more than 25% of the Red Sox' team total of 41. Ortiz hit .688 with a .760 on base percentage.

It was weird how good he was. It's weird how good he always is in "clutch" situations. And I'm not inferring anything negative; I'm just bewildered that the Cardinals of all teams couldn't figure out a way to keep Ortiz from getting on base.

Well, that's about a wrap for me. Not sure that this was such a good TD but it was different, and that's something.

Good luck in the voting?

After what you called Bucholz in your last TD the use of 'we' when refering to the Red Sox is misleading to say the least.

October 28, 2013  04:32 PM ET

Wacha*, not Sachs

Stupid auto correct doesn't know dick about sports.

October 28, 2013  04:43 PM ET

With last night ending with getting caught off first base , logic states the next game ends with an inside the park home run , or a triple play. Go Cards

Thigh high leather boots sound like much more fun than another 40er. I kinda hope the Sox win, Frogger, for your sake.

I will post my 3rd tomorrow..
I will be hurting..

I'm just not optimistic for the sox tonight, (according to the surgeon:)..

Gotta vote left. HCF was right about the Sox winning the WS.

But wrong about the number of games, what happens in game 6 by a large margin and frog will do neither of the 2 things at the end of his secong argument.

Plus the timer expired.

Only HCF could lose a TD when he's factually correct.
