What team is the most likable? The team people cheer, unless their team is playing them or rivals with them.

I'm going with Borussia Dortmund.

When you watch their games on TV, the atmosphere is just incredible. They play in a massive stadium, and average the largest attendance of any soccer team in the world. The fans are absolutely insane, and it makes for a great experience. Outside of maybe a Boca-Rivers game, nothing can probably top this.

They have a massive rivalry with a team that can be seen as a villain, Bayern. Opposed to Bayern, and many top soccer teams, Dortmund does not spend vast amounts of money on just buying players, instead they develop them or buy unknown players, and turn them into stars. They operate like a small market team.

Yet despite that, they are one of the 5 best club teams in the world right now, and have a rich history of success.

Their manager is the most lovable manager in the world, and is like a cartoon figure. Who doesn't love Klopp?

Finally they play an exciting style. They play the beautiful game. They run, and have a deadly counter attack. The open things up. They score lots of goals, and giveup goals. Fun.

Arsenal!

After being the biggest losers for 8 years..
BOOM BANNA SPLIT!!!!
Hell freezes over..
And out of no where, the gunners are strong favourites to win the premier league..

After being lovable losers..
We have turned into love able winner..

I read the comments section on Espn..
Chelsea, Man U and city fans, all want arsenal to win this year..

The world got turned upside down this year..
Arsenal had 4th place tattooed all over their body..
It was just basic intelligence that would have arsenal stenicelled in as the 4th spot for the last 8 years..
And now we FINALLY have shark teeth!

I will argue my 2nd and 3rd likeable teams in the remaining arguments..

Arsene Wenger is a likeable fella, and has his lads playing an enjoyable style of soccer. But he is the only reason to like them, and he isn't even as likable of Klopp.

Also, there is so many reasons to hate them.

Jack Wilshere is one major reason to hate them. He is probably one of the 5 most hate-able players in England, due to his play on the pitch, his actions off the pitch, and what he says in the media.

Then you have Arsenal being one of the major teams in England, which gives everyone reason to hate. There is no underdog story with them. No small market angle to play. They are amongst the largest spenders in the world on buying players.

I did intend on just picking on team for most likeable, but I guess we can do one per argument.

So give me...the Glasgow Rangers/Celtic

Take your pick on which one you like, but everyone likes 1!

Sure the Rangers are playing in some 4th level league in Scotland, and wont be a major player for another 5 years, and even after that will take time to regain its old status.

But like BVB, both have an amazing atmosphere at their games. And both always an underdog in Europe. Plus the amazing rivalry that cannot be beat!

Wenger is held with the utmost respect..
All the players love him..
He is why Henry and fabregas wanted to come back..
He learnt about futbol in a French pub!
Nothing cooler than that!

Yeah wilshere is a naughty boy..
But Ramsey is a leader among men..
And everybody loves the officer type..
For some reason I think of Ramsey as a more charismatic version of Murray..
Damn shame he is welsh.. (I wish he could play for the England national team!)..
But whatever..

Arsenal IS an underdog story..
After 8 years of purgatory we have FINALLY blossomed..
I can't explain it..
Maybe it was our turn?
For years I was embarrassed to say I was an arsenal fan..
Now?
I just pinch myself..

My second pick?
Athletico Madrid!
Someone FINALLY STEPPED UP IN SPAIN..
And is giving the great barca and REAL a run for their money..
It's fantastic to see..

Arsenal is one of the largest clubs in the world, and no ones underdog story.

My final pick is gonna have to be A.S. Roma! A more current pick.

This is a team that has been down in the gutter in recent years. They've had their successes, but have never been one of the big clubs in Italy, and haven't really won much in comparison, winning only 3 titles in 86 years. They've never done anything on the European stage.

But now, after finishing 6th last year, have started this season with 10 straight wins! An Italian Serie A record to start the season. They have only given up one goal in this span!

Rudi Garcia, their new coach, has a great back story and is very likeable.

The roster is incredibly likeable, as they are doing it with old veterans that everyone thought was washed up and done, yet they are schooling everyone. This team is pretty much ancient by soccer standards, yet showing it can still be done.

They have Totti, De Rossi, and Balzaretti! Who doesn't love those guys, and wouldn't want to see them win won more?

THEY HAVE TOTTI!!!!

Totti wins this for me.

Blast I was going to pick Roma! Ha ha..

My 3rd pick?
Liverpool..
Possibly the most exciting team in the premiership..
Great to see cause they've been sooooo lousy the last couple years..
Plus everyone wants Stevan Gerard to win a league title..

Good luck to you both. I'm not gonna vote 'cause I know even less about soccer than I do about nuclear physics. Which........is pretty much nothing.

11 of Bayern's 26 players on their roster are from Bayern's youth academy. So if you are implying that Bayern only spends big amounts of money on players you are an idiot. Bayern's captain and vice captain cost a combined ZERO DOLLARS.

Dortmund only has 7 of 26 players on their roster from their youth system. And most of them don't feature in the side. So yeah, you might be confused. Just because Dortmund spends less doesn't make them more home grown.

No doubt they have a great youth system and have been great developing players, much in the same way as Barca as been. Without guys like Muller and Schweinsteiger, they would not have the success they do.

But they are still one of the biggest spenders in Europe, and make BVB the underdog. Gotze, Ribery, Javi Martinez, Robben, Neuer, Boateng, Mandzukic, and Thiago have all been huge buys for Bayern. And they are continuing when Lewandowski moves to Munich in January, from BVB. Getting guys like Gotze and Lewandowski from BVB makes Munich all the most "villain" like character and BVB the underdogs.

They even pretty much bought their manager, Pep, as I believe they are paying him the most in the world.

Dortmund has brought in the majority of their players, but look at the transfer prices they have paid. They bring in young guys, from lower leagues or poor teams, and make them into something. Dortmund scouts amazingly. And I would consider their team more homegrown, seeing how they bring in unknowns (like how Lewandowski was) and make them knowns.

Bayern operates like a big club, which they are, and spends a lot on bringing in big name players. Dortmund, in comparison, operates like a small market team.

Athletico was my next pick, I knew I should have picked them second.

Give me time to think of a third.

Lets keep this to Europe too, no South American teams...

You guys should've done this TD in English.

Butch and Sundance , The Dunder-Mifflin Sports Day Team ,or Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commando's would get my vote as most likable.

Also, never say anything positive about Rangers. Ever. The team, their fans and everything about them are terrible

Everyone in the world either hates or loves the Rangers, and usually has the opposite feeling on the Celtic. I personally have always liked the Rangers, and hated the Celtic.

And here is a positive on the Rangers, they gotta a couple young Canucks on their team!
