I could've gone with the 60 minute Iron Man match against Bret Hart, I could've gone with his incredible Wrestle Mania 10 ladder match with Razor Ramon, or I could've gone with one of his two matches with the Undertaker, while he attempted to break the infamous streak. I'm going to go with a unknown match for us U.S. rastlin' fanatics.
Michael's first world title shot is my first pick.
Shawn Michaels fought the Macho Man Randy Savage @ the UK's "RAMPAGE" pay per view.
It was held @ Sheffield's Arena... April 19th, 1992..
Sensational Sherri added to the intrigue, she was in HBK's corner.
This is what started MANY title shots for HBK.

My first pick is the Royal Rumble match from 22 January 1995.
Shawn entered in the match in the number 1 slot and lasted nearly an hour to win the match.
This is the Rumble where it looked like Shawn was eliminated but he dangled from the ropes and only allowed ONE foot to touch the areana floor. This propmted Gorilla Monsoon to remind us that both feet bMUST[/b] touch the floor to be eliminated.
Shawn skinned the cat to get back into the action and eventually won it by beating fellow finalist, The British Bulldog. Shawn was the first man to ever go start-to-finish in the Rumble, emerge the winner, and head to the main event of a WrestleMania (WM XI).
Michaels didn't win the heavyweight title at WrestleMania XI but would win it the next year at WrestleMania XII by beating Bret 'Hit Man' Hart in a 60-Minute Iron Man Match.
Ya know, it's too bad Shawn giving up the HW title b/c he lost his smile in Febuary 1997 wasn't a match or it would be my first choice. ;o)

If you haven't noticed, I'm trying to go with some HBK matches that aren't so obvious..
My next pick might be a little bit... But, I feel I have to put in there..
1997 Bad Blood PPV...
the first & 2nd BEST Hell in the Cell match in the History of Sports Entertainment..
Shawn Michaels vs the Undertaker...
At the October pay-per-view event, In Your House: Badd Blood, Michaels and Undertaker participated in the first Hell in a Cell match. During the match, it saw Michaels fall off the side of the 15-foot (5 m) high structure through a table and saw him as the winner in the match. The match received a 5-star rating from Dave Meltzer.~WIKI
When you beat the Undertaker at his own game, it def. needs to be recognized, so here we are.

For my second choice I'm going with Summerslam 2002 (25 August) versus HHH.
I think this is obscure b/c you don't hear this mentioned in lists of great BHK matches and it's important cause it marked his return to the ring. HBK had been out of the ring for 4 and 1/2 years with a bad back. No one including Shawn knew if he could still wrestle at any level muchless a high one.
The two former friends and DX founders faced off in an unsanctioned streetfight cause Shawn wasn't officially cleared by the doctors to wrestle in this type of match. HHH was now Shawn's ex-best friend because HHH had kicked Shawn out of DX right before Shawn left in 1998 to rehab his bad back and HHH wouldn't welcome Shawn back into DX when he returned in 2002. The match included ladders and other plunder. In the end, Shawn proved he still had it by beating HHH clean.
It seeems that they've patched things up again since this match and are best buds again (Too BAD for Daniel Bryan!!!
