1. Dan Marino..
Laces out:)
He had the most beautiful throw..
But there's something about Miami teams..
They are the Dwayne dweeblies of sports..
At least us floridians have the gators and Seminoles to root for..

2. Goran ivanisevic..
He never became number one:(
He won close to 20 titles..
He even bagged a couple on clay..
And of course not only won Wimbledon.. But he got to 3 other wimby finals..
Plus he had the greatest serve of all time..

3. Karl Malone..
Got to 3 finals..
2 of them with a neat jazz..
Won an MVP..

4. Ted Williams..
How do you not win with a .400 batter?

5. Messi..
Never won a World Cup..
Heck he hasn't even made a semis!
Come on Argentina.. Get your act together..

6. Cristiano Ronaldo..
A semis was the best he could do..

7. Reggie miller..
He had some pretty good 3 pointers..

8. Jim Kelly..
4 finals in a row?
Oh dear..

9. Marcelo rios..
Somehow he never bagged a slam..

10. Barry bonds
Even without steroids he was pretty damn good..
Remember when he was skinny and stole all those bases?

I'll stick with same sports- So I'll give you a pass on all that overseas crap we don't care about in the US unless we are playing Russia

Karl Malone?

No.

John Stockton is poor guy on that team. One of the best pure points to ever play the game, and unlike Karl, wasn't a ME guy who sucked up all the cap money he could so the Jazz couldn't add new players.

Also his numbers go down in the playoffs, Stocktons are close, and Stock still dropped 10 dimes per game.

Reggie Miller?

No.

Try Elgin Baylor.

I love Jim Kelly, and Dan Marino, but they are primarily responsible for what happened to them.

I feel more for guys like Munoz. Possibly the best O-Lineman in history. The fact he doesn't have a ring is easily NOT his fault.

Like the NFL Today, I'm gonna drop Danny Boy for Tony G on this list. Explain to me where he let his teams down.

ok..

We have 3 guys that care about soccer on this site..
Me, Argos and Flag First..
I just wanted to clear that up..:)

Stockton over Malone..
no..
I love Stockton and I wish he could come back to the game in some role..
But Stockton never won an MVP..
Karl did..
Was Malone a do----u---che bag..
Probably..
But we aren't debating about character..

Tony Gwinn?
The fat baseball player for the Padres?
The one with the annoying voice?
Maybe if he didn't eat sooo many french fries..
Got up off the couch and went to the Gym..
Lost a good 27lbs..
Then yes, he would deserve to be on this list..
But since he is fat..
He can only blame himself..
Maybe he didn't care?

I like my list..
I think you are being too hard on Kelly and Marino..
Kelly would have won a Super Bowl, IF THE FIELD GOAL KICKER WAS DOING HIS JOB,..
I forgive Kelly right there..
Marino would have won a super bowl if he didn't play for the LOUSY DOLPHINS FRANCHISE..
Theres something about Miami teams..
I guess we party too hard..
Fins, Marlins and to a lesser underachieving extent Heat...
We are the Dwayne Dweeblies of all of sports..

Kelly would have won a super bowl if he could have dropped more than 20 in the Super Bowl. That kick wasn't exactly a chip shot. Plus Thurman Thomas went for 135 yards- maybe if Kelly had passed for more than 212 yards he would have a ring? Plus Thurman got almost a quarter of that as well!

Who didn't do his job?

How many picks did Kelly have? Exactly.

Find me a game where Munoz gave up more than 2 sacks- EVER. I bet he could play today and be better than some players.

Malone got MVP?

and? Nash got 2 of them and he's not on either of our lists. That means squat.

Malone has to look in the mirror as the reason for no ring- just like Patrick Ewing. (also not on the list)

Stockton got to play vs some of the great PGs in NBA history- and held his own. Malone got CRUSHED by most power forwards- and James Worthy made bank making sure he stayed home in June.

Maybe if Malone had left a few buck on the table maybe his best teammates wouldn't have been Jeff Malone. He cost the Jazz a chance at getting Hershey Hawkins- who would have lifted at team up a notch. Not to mention he killed a trade with Harvey Grant- that would have been nice too!

ouch on Kelly!
He was playing against the G-Men.. Who had a fantastic defense..
With Lawerence Taylor as their famous line backer..
There was no shame in losing to a hungry G-Men..
You have to be pretty nasty to get to the super bowl 4 years in a row..
Its a fantastic accomplishment.. One we may never see done again..

The name of the field goal kicker is Robert Paulson..:)

Malone will be remembered as one of the all time greats..
He was incredibly exciting to watch..
He had a lot of power and was pretty fast for a big guy..
Did he have character issues? Whatever..
He was on a great team.. Stockton and Hornaceck complimented Malone well..
How they never won a championship, while a team like the Houston Rockets won 2?
I will never fully understand..

Reggie Miller

3 THIRD TEAM All-NBA Teams

19 PPG average NEVER cracked 25 PPG - EVER.

0 Top 10 MVP Finishes.

Did finish EIGHTH in scoring once . . .ONCE

Zero top 10 finishes in Assists per game, rebounds per game, steals per game - ANYTHING but points, and he was a top 10 ONCE in that.

Oh, and exhibit 1 on why the Hall is a joke.

Lets look at Elgin.

10 FIRST TEAM All-NBA Teams.

8 TOP FIVE MVP Award finishes

NINE Top 5 finishes in PPG- 4th Highest OF ALL TIME- 27.4 PPG.
EIGHT Top 10 Finishes in RPG- and 10th HIGHEST OF ALL TIME 10.3
SIX top 10 finishes in APG

So who is dang shame they never wore a ring again?

they really don't care. Even though, what a game against Golden St. last week.

Heat lost to the Jazz. Lebron was throwing stupid play ground passes in spite.

February 18, 2014  05:12 AM ET

I'd have Jim Kelly higher, Frog. He went to 4 superbowls, 0-4. That sucks.

If there's any argument possible that places Tony Gwinn over Dan Marino, I'm looking forward to seeing it and personally, I wouldn't advise getting all your information from basketball-reference.com. Miller was far and away more accomplished than Baylor.

February 20, 2014  06:19 AM ET

Reggie miller.. He had some pretty good 3 pointers..

At first I thought this was a huge understatement regarding Reggie's career but on second thought Frog pretty much nailed it.

Dude had some pretty good three pointers. All you need to know about Reggie Miller.

And if he made them against Milwaukee instead of NY then he's Jeff Hornacek and not even close to the Hall.

One of the most overrated players in SPORTS history.
