Don't worry, I'm not forfeiting my first argument. lls

I won't even comment in the comment section. Cheated or NOT

This is my last td, and I'd like to save the last dance, with arguably the best nation arguer currently on the roster, MF'er, a.k.a Marlins', baby boi. lls j/k

first selection: cool Joe

Threw 11 touchdowns to 0 interceptions in his four Super Bowls (wiki)

3x SB MVP

Ranked #4 on NFL.com's Top 100 Players of All-Time

So this isn't too far fetched here.

Not that NFL.com is God, or that PCH is some genius, but I have a little credibility for my pick, I feel better now. aghhhh..

Who you got, Jim Brown?

If only Barry played longer, o, boi.

found this vintage, check it out.

Montana is a great selection, virtually impossible for me to counter. I would've picked Montana myself, given the choice, but that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. Anyway taking Montana off the board left me two offensive players I view as great first picks and since you have already stated your intention to go with Walter I'll save Jim Brown for my number two pick.

Going back to Montana, he was arguably the best quarterback ever to play pro football. Key word there being arguably. The guy I'm picking is the best ever at his position and it's not arguable. I'm of course speaking of

Jerry Rice

Best receiver ever to play in the NFL. That is a fact.

I could list the stats and stuff but we all already know Rice is the WR GOAT, right?

I'm starting off taking the most consistent and dominant offensive player I can think of other than maybepossibly Jim Brown, AKA the guy I'm going to take in my second argument.

Good topic and good luck in the voting.

Lls

I like it, busting out the "LLS". I hear yah, boss man.

I had this funny feeling you'd go Rice. Off subject, but I think Calvin could surpass him, of course not in titles. Rice is the best I've seen, you're correct. Montana gave Rice some good years. lol (trying to argue) Remember Rice, his rookie year? Can we say butterfingers? (still trying to argue)

It's impossible, how can I hate on Rice?

my next pick...

This guy was a 14th round pick.

He played for the Chargers, Rams, & Redskins throughout his career.

He was one bad mami jami.

None other than..........

drumroll........

SI" called this guy, "the defensive end of the century". That's BIG words.

Deacon Jones

194 sacks in 190 games?

This guy was tough as nails... only missing 6 games in his 14 yr. career.

Not only was Deacon a hell of an athlete, but he should be known an an innovator. He was before his time.

1967 & 1968 season, Deacon tallied 50 sacks combined. He had 26 sacks in 14 games in '67.

Guarantee, Ray Lewis, if asked, who's the best defensive player all-time? He'd say without a doubt Deacon Jones. If not first, 2nd@worst

Alright you keep ****-ing up my plans about who I'm gonna go with and whatnot but as you admitted in your other post-retirement TD, you are a wishy washy son of a gun so it's all good.

Anyway I'm taking Jim Brown right here and I'm also gonna pop a cap in your "Deacon would be everybody's top pick" argument. I guess I'll give you a sneak preview of my third pick and say that Lawrence Taylor is the NFL's best defensive player.

It was probably all the coke but LT was a raging beast on every play. Dude had an insane motor and was known for being more fearsomerelentlessintimidatingdominantstrongquickmotivatedbatshitcrazy than anybody else.

People were scared of Lawrence Taylor. He probably wouldn't last in today's wussified NFL. #wussificationofamerica

My bad for arguing my third pick in my second argument; I'll try to steer it back to Jim Brown.

Jim Brown is generally considered to be probably the best player in NFL history. Obviously that would also make him the best RB ever, so now I've got the best WR and RB, who just so happens to top most 'best NFL players ever' lists.

Tack on the best defensive player in LT and I'm about to have a better squad.

Sweetness

1970's all Decade team

1980's all Decade team

Forget Cal Ripken, not really, but Payton missed only one game, and that was a coaches' decision.

2nd all time in rushing.

21, 264 yards from scrimmage.

I know all about Jim Brown, he's from my hometown, Saint Simons.

Emmitt had the help of the GREAT offensive line, or he wouldn't have beaten Payton's record. ****, that O'line made Norv Turner look loike a good offensive coordinator.

Good td, Marlins.. so

we have..

Joe Montana, Deacon Jones, Walter Payton vs LT, RICE, & Jim Brown... tough, tough

You don't have to quit. None of what's been going on is a big deal. If you can just remember none of it's a big deal you'll be fine, man.

February 18, 2014  02:47 AM ET

There is a good argument for Walter Payton.

Well in that case I'll save Brown for my number two pick.

I don't get the accepted jerry rice is the greatest we of all time argument. Hutson numbers given the time he played are crazy, and I think their have been numerous guys with more talent / skill.

You also claim MJ is like what, the third or fourth greatest NBA player?

O, God, who's first? Hopefully Wilt, if anybody.

February 19, 2014  01:31 AM ET

Cuban's a ballahollic though. I respect his opinion.

February 19, 2014  01:32 AM ET

I just can't get how you can't have Jordan. 6 titles, two three peats, between a White sox break.

KEY *6 Final MVP's

February 19, 2014  01:37 AM ET

It really sucks, I would've loved to have seen the Bulls vs Rockets, instead of the Knickerbockers. Especially if Jordan wouldn't have skipped the chi town madness, for a baseball glove in Birmingham.

February 19, 2014  01:39 AM ET

I say all this liking Pippen more so than Jordan. Pippen had all around game. He could play SG SF, frkn PG. He could run with it, fast break easy. Pippen with the "bankers". Pippen gave Jordan at least 3 titles, Robin was good to him.
