colts over pats sunday

the colts have a great O in manning, harrison, wayne, addai and saturday. their defense is strong and can stop the other team.

the pats have brady, moss, and sometimes stallworth. that is where the ball is going. they have no run compared to the colts run and the colts D.
we also have a great back known as BOB SANDERS. when we put him on moss, no more 6 throwing TD games for brady.

P.S. whoever accepts this, don't fall off the face of fannation like Apollo.

Why would anyone accept this one and run away?

The Pats can match up man for man against your great O all day long. And their defense has been every bit as good all season long. Both average giving up around 15 points a game. The difference is that most of New Englands points given up have been late in the game with 2nd string playing defense.

The Pats have Stallworth all game, plus you left out Welker. He's been money all season.

but for most of the season, 80% of his passes have been to moss. also, a fun(ny) fact is that the pats gave up 28 points to the 0-7 dolphins! i don't care what your excuse is, that's bad any way you look at it. it don't matter if it was 2nd string, the way the fins have been playing, 3rd string should have stopped them on D.
their D is almost nothing compared to the colts. the colts have not let a bad team score very much on them. they have kept their distance on the scoreboard and won games.

80%? So you want to win a TD by lying?

The Colts nearly lost to Tennessee, who lost to Tampa. They gave up 24 points to Houston. Don't tell me about giving up points to bad teams. The difference is that the Colts gave up those points with their 1st string defense in, not their 3rd.

And as I said, they give up the same points per game, so how can their D be NOTHING compared to the Colts. In fact, the NE 1st string D is BETTER than the Indy D.

like i said the pats gave up points to the fins. they are way worse than tennessee. and it is really sad when the "#1" team gives up 28 points to the 0-7 fins. their is no comparison. the colts D has stopped pass and run from everyone.

Gotcha, so your entire argument is that the Pats gave up late meaningless points to the Dolphins. And we're supposed to ignore the Colts giving up 24 points to Houston with their starting D in the game. Or 20 to Tennessee. You're really good at this arguing thing. Find a meaningless stat and ride it like its Jenna Jamison.

Umm hmm, I guess we know who fell of the face of fannation.

The pats have not went against a great QB. yet.If you call Tony **** a great QB. get real. The Colts could have run up the score on alot of teams but there coach knows when enough is enough.Moss 1 TD COLTS BY 10 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think this will be a great slugfest this week. If the Colts even put a slight hamper on the passing game I think they take the Pats. The Pats can't beat the Colts on the ground, they have to do it through the air. I would give the Colts a slight edge in this, especially being at home in the dome.

fun fact about the Pats: the lowest amount of points they've scored is 34. that's insane. the average amount of points they've given up, even with two relatively high scoring teams against them is about 16 points.

also, Moss doesn't even have the most catches on the team, much less 80% of them. Welker leads with 56; Moss comes in at second with 47. that's 28% and 23% respectively. learn something before you write it and don't make outlandish claims.

last week moss caught 4 of the 6 TD passes. what does that tell you jetshome. i do know what i'm talking about.

Report Offensive Comment

fun fact The 2004 Indianaplois colts averaged 33 points a game. Some of their more impressive high scoring games included:

45 35 35 49 41 41 51 34 31 31

Report Offensive Comment

that's because Moss is a deep threat and Welker is a posession guy. obviously he's going to score more TDs.

Report Offensive Comment

Even if you meant "td passes", 4 of 6 is not 80%.

Moss-weckler is same as Harrison-Wayen --- The slot receiver - Weckler - is the key receiver that sets up everything

Report Offensive Comment

Also TE Ben Watson should be avail.

Report Offensive Comment

jeststole home is correct --- they double Moss and Wekler in the slot becomes the main target. When they ease on Wekler they go deep to Moss or Stallworth - When safety goes to Moss Stallwork gets single coverage

Welker leads Pats in receptions with 56 and 10.9 avg per catch - 6 TD's

The deep guys, Moss and Stallworth, have 47 and 26 catches respecitively, with an avg per catch of 16.6 and 15.8. The other medium to long threat is B Watson - he has 5 TD's and averages 12.3 yds per catch

Report Offensive Comment

Moss must have terrible hands since he has 47 catches, yet they throw to him 80% of the time. LOL

Report Offensive Comment

fun fact Mike Vrabel, Pats linebacker -- has 9 career receptions from Brady --- all 9 resulted in touchdowns

Report Offensive Comment

Gruden Moss is not dropping many at all - he has been double teamed all season so he does not get the high number of balls his way --- and remember Brady is completing 75% of all his throws this season so nobody is dropping a lot of passes

Report Offensive Comment

The benefit of wekler in the slot in the pats scheme is embodied in the yards after catch ---- Moss has 147 yac and Wekler has 311 yac

Report Offensive Comment

21 of Miami's 28 points were in the 4th quarter long after the game was decided!

Come on man, that is all you have to offer us to justify the Superbowl Champs having a shot in this game? That an Moss catching 80% of Brady's passes when he isn't even the leading pass reciever on the team in terms of catches.

Weak arguments, vote to Gruden!

Report Offensive Comment

Larry B, Grudens remark about Moss' hands was a joke based on Packersman contention that Brady threw 80% of his passes to him yet he isn't leading the team in receptions!

Report Offensive Comment

Larry B, I think Vrabel is up to 10?

Report Offensive Comment

Ismackem - I know -- I was trying to keep the one he caught against the redskins Sunday quiet so I would not be accused of running up the score.

Another aspect of poor planning by the Skins --- Vrabel had been thrown to 9 times and caught 9 TD passes -- he goes in against the Skins and thay leave him alone and he makes an easy TD catch

Coach MOH - Thanks Gruden has my vote on this one
