what type of sport do u think is better? i say team. there is nothing like 5 or 9 or 11 or however many guys you have working together as one. im a swimmer, and i love it cause u get all the credit for a win and lose, but im also a baseball player. nothing like working as a team

It really depends on the sport now doesnt it. So i think you are allowing any sport so I would say Golf would suck as a team, becuase its so dependent on what you can do. Same with boxing if you had a team in boxing it would be WWE smackfest up in your grill. So it really depends on the sport.

What sport are you going with. Even in say like the NBA... Kobe is on the Lakers and we all know its Kobe's team. The lakers are kobe. Same with say Terrell Owens, maybe not this year but its been that way with the eagles and the niners. He wants you to think otherwise but its all about him.

There can be great sportsman ship in individual sports, you see it all over the olympics and they are the most hyped sports event in the world.

it doesnt matter on the sport. do u like sports that require individual or team play. not that complicated. and the olympics have team sports too

Nice rebuttal

There are great individual sports. Bowling, Swimming, Running, Skiing, Skating, Ice Skating, Gymnastics, Golf, Skeet Shooting, Boxing, Billards, Wrestling, Racing... Nascar! Surfing as seen below, Video Games, some say its a sport now.

Individual sports put more pressure on the person and you cant rely on anyone but yourself.

There are so many sports in the world but there are way more sports that people can compete in on an individual level.

You could even say fishing, how could i forget that, Chess, Debate... Individual competitions are harder to predict thus are better than team competition

team sports are better because its harder to get everyone working together. thats y the nfl nba mlb nhl are way more popular than sking surfing ext. even nascar is a team sport, and its americas most watched sport. plus video games arent a sport. getting guys to work together as a team is way cooler than being an awesome individual

Would you watch people play chess, didn't think so. It is more entertaining to watch basketball or football, you cant just go and change your entire TD. This is not about what your going to pay and watch and what is popular it was supposed to be about team and individual sports.

Have you ever seen the 101 on Directv there is a channel for video games, and there sponsored and have jerseys, i dont believe its really a sport but it still encourages individual performances.

How can you even bring up the popular thing because forgive me for embarrising you but Nascar is the most attended sporting event by far and has way too many fans to count. It encourages an individual performance.

The Olympics are a big deal as well, they have team and individual sports. But lets face it there is never going to be a national shotput league. NSL, lol

I think ya missed the point of the TD there joedawg. He asked which you prefer, not "think of a way to straddle the line and not commit".

i was gonna take this and argue with the same points you made joedawg..nice argument. no vote yet

Surfing is my favorite sport and is what I love to do. So I'm going with individual sports.

Team sports would include - Baseball, football, basketball, hockey, soccer, NASCAR, volleyball, rugby, field hockey, horse racing (give the horse some credit), cycling, pairs figure skating, 2 man luge, bobsled, pairs tennis, syncronized swimming, horse jumping (again the horse is there), roller derby, and others I cannot think of.

Some of the individual sports would be golf, single tennis, bowling, skiing, speed skating, marathon, surfing, fishing, individual skating, most track and field events (except relays), swimming (except medleys), diving, and I am sure I missed some more.

My choice - I like individual when I am participating; I like team when I am a spectator. So I cannot give a point as I like to ski and marathon, but I am a diehard fan as well.

I love college football for the schemes, amtch ups, and adjustments, but would have to say my favorite and among the purest competitions is boxing. I can still remember the fun of watching some of the now classic matches growing up (before it became all PPV - I am no longer into hanging out in a bar to watch a match).

Then again, joe (actually both) kinda lacking on the opening argument

I love to watch the Spelling Bee..thats an individual sport. but my vote goes to yankee because of joes first argument. I trully enjoy watching Team Golf..Ryders Cup/Presidents Cup/Walker Cup. Team Golf does not suck!

I have to go with Curling as the best team sport. I, like our learned sports team freak, love team sports. When the lead is shuffling on the ice sweeping at a high rate of melting speed in front of the accurate lazerbeam of a curly thing slide I'm in awe!

Team.
Individual athletic skill is great and important in all sport, Team sport reflects the values it takes to succeed in "real" life.

Being a Football fan - team obviously.
