Baseball is overall a boring game to watch.


although Baseball is America's past time it is a boring game .
9 innings or more with only a few exciting plays.


Beauty is completely in the eye of the beholder.

You might think baseball's a boring game to watch simply because it doesn't have all that many 'exciting' plays, but the appeal of baseball is based on the fact it involves a crafty battle of wits between the hitter and the pitcher, and while it is slower, personally I think it allows for a better buildup, and sometimes allows for a more exciting ending.

Most importantly though, baseball IN PERSON is simply incredibly fun to watch. You get to get much closer to the players (you can sit next to the dugout), you can watch them take warmup throws, you can see infielders toss the ball around and see pitchers warmup in the bullpen. You don't get to see those on TV.


Basically all that your first argument stated is BORING!

watching someone warm-up don't sound too exciting to me,neither does someone tossing balls to each other,

waiting for the build-up as you said because it's slower makes it Boring.


Well watching the players throw to each other and interact with each other gives you the opportunity to learn more about them. If you truly do like baseball, you'll find those types of things interesting. If you personally think baseball's boring, that's your opinion. It doesn't mean everyone else has to share it.


Never said everyone had to share my opinion,but guess it doesn't matter does it.

It's really just a matter of opinion. On a sports website filled with rabid fans of every sports, I think I was bound to win no matter what argument I put up.

I gotta go with B-ball on this one. Baseball is not only steeped in tradition, if you are a true fan there is plenty of exitement not apparent to those who don't know the game. Does the manager call for a hit and run, should they run, do you pitch around a certain guy and if so how does that go? BTW, I'm wearing Jesus sandles right now!

Baseball is not interesting! even if you do see it in person, try to compare that to watching an NFL or NBA game live. There is no comparison whatsoever! Baseball is just pitch....miss....pitch....miss....and the occasional short-lived run followed by a quick out at 1st. Even watching somebody chase a fly ball ends pretty quickly. BORING!!!

Vote to Jesus, if you understand baseball and have a passion for it, it is not boring. I find a pitching duel the best the game can offer.
Now golf on TV is boring, its actually fun in person. Tennis (yawn), MLS Soccer (think Seattle's all pumped up over getting a MLS expansion team and losing the sonics?), anything with a motor vehicle (not a sport)

Well, another dimwit thinking that baseball is boring just because you don't get to see someone throw a ball 50 yards. In my opinion, a home run is just as exciting as a TD pass, and while football sometimes is over by the 3rd quarter, there is ALWAYS an opportunity for the other team in baseball to catch up (mainly because there's no time limit). If you think baseball is boring, well, your opinion...but vote to Jesus.

I agree that baseball is a boring game to watch- but if the point of a throwdown was simply to pit two people with opposing arguments and have others vote for the side they agree with, then being given 3 arguments would be pointless.

Personally- I don't care whether I agree with a guys position in on an argument... if he makes the better argument, he gets my vote.
