i got this idea when watching sportscenter. everyone was talking about how good the rams were before the season, and how they could win the division. well they have 1 win. its because of injuries. so its not like the team is horrible its just all the good players are hurt. the browns, on the other hand, were supposed too suck. they dont. derek anderson is a beast and they should keep him over quinn. they are this years suprise team. its more suprising that the browns are good than it is that the rams are bad

Well, let's look at some stats to begin. Right now the Rams are 1-8 and the Browns are 5-4. The Browns went 4-12 last year so it's already an improvement but it's only 9 games in the season and they have an easy schedule. That's why they have been so successful. They play the Jets, Texans, Ravens, Cardinals, Bills, 49ers, and Bengals to close the season. All of thoose teams are having bad years. The Rams 1-8 start has to be more suprising becuase any could see that the Browns have one of the easiest schedules in the league. This year they play in a weak division. In their 4 losses the lost to Pittsburgh (twice), Oakland, and New England. They can't beat good teams but Pittsburgh and NE are way to good for them anyhow but Oakland? Oakland? C'mon people they lost to Oakland. Then they beat some bad teams like Baltimore, Cincinatti, Miami, St. Louis, and an allright team in Seattle. Every team except Seattle was under .500, Seattle is at .500 with a record of 4-4. The Rams were expected to be great. Yet this year they have lost as many games in the first nine games as they did in all of 2006 (8). That is quite unpredictable.

even though the browns schedule is easy, no one thought they would be any good. everyone thoguht brady quinn would be in by now cause the season would be lost. that is very unpredictle that the rams loose like this, but there is a good explanation. injuries. yes the browns have an easy shedule, but were expected to loose all these games and have a top pick

Not exactly. My arguement here is for the Rams being more suprising and I was just taking time out of my life to put down the Browns. Now here comes the good stuff. The Rams were projected to go 9-7 this year by many top sports magazines i.e. Sports Illustrated. That would be IMPOSSIBLE now. No one said the Rams going 9-7 after all they play in one of the worsts divisions in the NFL. Say goodbye to 9-7 Rams and most likely the playoffs cuz you are 1-8. Anyone would've said the Rams had a shot at the playoffs. It wouldn't be that hard to out perform the Seahawks and have a better record. Even if they didn't they always had a good shot at the wild card. They had Pro Bowlers Stephen Jackson, Marc Bulger and Torry Holt. They were set at offense and had the ultimate Left Tackle Orlando Pace. Well they had the 27th easiest schedule this year so things couldn't have been much easier. Also they had acquired Randy McMichael to be a help at Tight End. They also had Issac Bruce, yes old but also a 1,000 yard receiver in 2006. They all thought they couldn't miss the playoffs but SUPRISE, SUPRISE they lost their first 8 games and their first win was, well, YESTERDAY!

While the Browns are kind of a suprise, they have not played anyone. As for the Rams a ton of people had them as a contender for the NFC this year. That is like seeing the Colts with one win at this point.
