The NBA playoffs are some of the best games to watch. The players are actually playing hard and are awesome and games are at a fast pace and less about just one person or that team will not win! (Kobe with Lakers!)

The NBA playoffs drag on forever with seemingly only two games at most a night in the playoffs. It is hardly exciting to watch all the first series games in seven game sets. Meanwhile in baseball it is actually difficult to make the playoffs, and it becomes truly exciting to get right to the best teams competing against one another. Upset runs are rare in basketball and mostly about one or two seeds winning it all. Meanwhile baseball has had an incredible run of having wild card seeds winning and making the championship series. It is hardly exciting in the NBA to know that it comes down to the same few teams when it takes forever to get there. Moreover where do you get off saying that the NBA playoffs are less about one person? How on earth is baseball about one person? An entire line-up hits and fields and a pitcher can only start about once every five games and relievers can only pitch and inning or two a game. Where is the one person dominance?

I am saying that during the regural season in the NBA, players are mostly about themselves...Durung the playoffs, the players are all about the team and that is exciting to watch...Fast paced basketball at its finest!...

Well baseball is not ever about promoting one player carrying the team, so I fail to see it as an advantage to basketball. Meanwhile, your "fast paced" basketball is generally losing basketball. Up tempo teams like the Suns and the Mavs have yet to achieve consistent post season success (not to mention they play that way all year). Meanwhile teams like Detroit and San Antonio continue to win championship without the up tempo game and in the half court set. Baseball is a much better playoff system because it is unpredictable and doesn't drag on. It always leaves its consumers wanting more, unlike Stern's drab 40 games in 40 nights promoting of the NBA.

How else is the NBA going to get shorter?...I don't know what gets better ratings but I enjoy the fast paced NBA playoffs over the MLB playoffs...

The NBA could switch back to just a five game series for the first round like they used to be, or better yet could adopt baseball???s set up and make it an actual award to make the post season and only take the elite teams. Baseball provides high tension and intense situations throughout the postseason. Basketball becomes dull and boring a week into it.

Both playoffs are pretty boring but the b-ball does get pretty intense. If you haven't seen any of the Suns-Spurs series, I suggest tuning in for a little bit its pretty thrilling basketball.
