The main idea, though, is to create a team using players from 1982 on. I chose the Hawks and Cassidy chose the Kings.

C- Dikembe Mutombo- In his 5 years with Atlanta he averaged 12 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 blocks per game. He is considered by some to be the greatest shotblocker in recent memory.

PF- Kevin Willis- In 10 years with the Hawks he averaged 15 points and 11 rebounds. He and Dominique Wilkins (see below) combined to actually WIN in Atlanta, something that has been absent as of late.

SF- Dominique Wilkins- "Nique", as he is called, averaged 27 points and 7 rebounds per contest and is widely known as a top 3 dunker to ever live.

SG- Jason Terry- In 5 seasons with Atlanta he averaged 16 points, 6 assists, and 2 steals per game while shooting 36% from deep and 84% from the charity stripe.

PG- Mookie Blaylock- This is the guy who shut down everyone else's best guard. He was a great defensive stopper in the 80s for seven seasons with the Hawks. He averaged a solid 15 points, 7 assists, and 2 and a half steals in those years.

Chris Webber-Power Forward-much more well rounded as player vs. Kevin Willis
Vlade Diva-Center-best passing center virtually ever, rebounder, flopper extraordinaire, and can post up and get o-bounds, tons of put-backs
Peja Stoyakovic-Small Forward- doesnt need to dunk to score huge
Mike Bibby-Point Guard-makes Mookie look like his little brother in training
Bobby Jackson-Shooting Guard-great off the bench(6th man of year twice, outstanding starter for Kings as needed) or starting when necessary. Spark plug beyond belief and a defensive monster.

All stats are only from the years players spent with either the Kings or the Hawks.

Webber (Kings)- 23 ppg, 11 rpg, 47 FG%, 66 FT%
Willis (Hawks)- 15 ppg, 11 rpg, 50 FG%, 69 FT%
C-Webb has him in scoring no doubt. They're equal when you look at rebounding but the edge goes to Willis (barely) in field goal and free throw percentages.

Mutombo (Hawks)- 12 ppg, 13 rpg, 3 bpg, 1 apg
Divac (Kings)- 11 ppg, 8 rpg, 1 bpg, 4 apg
Slight edge to Dikembe in points and a HUGE edge to him in rebounding and blocks. And are you saying the best passing center of ALL TIME only averaged 4 assists]? I'm sure if I looked for a while I could find one better.

Stojakovic (Kings)- 18 ppg, 5 rpg, 45 FG%
Wilkins (Hawks)- 27 ppg, 7 rpg, 47 FG%
"Nique" has the clear edge in scoring and rebounds and they are fairly equal in field goal percentage. Now, here's something that separates the two: Wilkins has already been inducted into the Hall of Fame. How many people can honestly say Peja Stojakovic will make it in?

My next argument will be about the backcourt of the two teams. I do think the Hawks' backcourt isn't as strong as their frontcourt but they still have the edge over the Kings' guards.

I can't imagine trying to score against that Hawks lineup.

You took a Sacramento team that couldn't come close to winning a championship. I'll take Jason Williams (with the Kings) over Mike Bibby any day.

Flopper extraordinaire? Hahaha.

Sorry Cass but I got to go against you on this. Webber edges out Willis but that's it.

That Hawks lineup is just better.
