I wouldn't say he does nothing, but he isn't the greatest player of all time like some people made him out to be.

He can't even do 4 yards per carry, but the defenses focus on him enough that he helps the offense on some level.

I certainly does something, but it's not exactly run the ball well. He is one of the best receiving backs in the game right now, and he's only a second year player. He'll get better as a rusher in a year or two, but right now they can't expect him to put up 5 yds a carries becuase he simply can't do it.

He can still get way better; but certainly not worth the hype pre-draft. Wow, maybe Texas made a better choice. There is a noticable difference in their defense.

Right now the sensible choice looks like it might have been Ferguson, because Houston's O-line still sucks

and NO, Reggie Bush is NOT a good runningback. He can't even average 4 YPC, that's horrible.

He's a good athlete, and an average player.

when it comes down it it, he gets yards. rushing, receiving, and special teams. give him some time.

I was a person who said Reggie wasn't that good but since he became the full time back he has done pretty good. He is very versatile and since he hasn't been splitting as much time as before he seems to be more effective but the team is playing better as well. He isn't overrated anymore but he still isn't worth the hype that he received when he was drafted.

he is extremely overrated. im a hardcore saints fan and i would have rather seen an improvement with o-line or traded down for some secondary(if im not mistaken huff went 7th to OAK and there were a couple others as well) he hasnt had any 100 yard games and the whole "total yards" is b.s. if you put other players around like they do with reggie then they would have better numbers still. i think if reggie wants to become a better player, he needs to focus on his Running not punt or kick ret.

Reggie has obvious qualities but is more the promoter than the NFL football player. He was great in College but doesn't have what it takes to be the BIG TIME PLAYER IN THE nfl. He sells tickets and self-promotes well but is a bust as a "great back". In a couple of years he'll get a job on tv like Desmond Howard with an award or two on his resume'. NO OJ ,PEYTON OR JIM BROWN HERE! HE'LL BE RICH THOUGH!

Not over-rated but more like under-utilized

Some call him overrated some dont..but to say he "does nothing" for the Saints is crazy. Maybe people should stop looking at the topic and actually read the arguments. Bush definitely needs improvement and is overrated as a pure runner..but he is a dynamic individual who is used in many ways that helps the team.

3.8 YPC isn't that bad of a number especially when you consider what Bush brings to the table as a receiver. Nobody rates him that highly anymore so he's not overrated.

Since the bye week (6 games) he's had 91 Carries for 371 yards, or 4.0 YPC. Hardly impressive, and it's really only because of the 64 yards he put up on 10 carries against SF. Without that he's at 3.8 YPC.

Reggie Bush is COMPLETELY overrated as a RB and the whole "BUT LIEK HE CATCHEZ TEH PAZZEZ!" is LOL at best because 5.5 YPCatch is LOL worthy.
