This was a terrible suspension. I Know its against the rules to leave the bench if you are not playing or coming in at the time but they were just sticking up for their teamates. Robert Horry had no reason to push down Nash and that provoked teammates to rise. Spurs will win in Phoenix in game 5 with Duncan being a big factor and go up 3-2. Then with the crowds help they will win the series in game 6 at home.

It will certainly impact the series and affect the game that the Suns play, but there is no reason to assume that it will cost the Suns the series. Professional sports teams have a tendency to rally around embattled players. The Suns still have plenty of solid players that will produce in the absence of Amare. Even without him, the Suns have a superb record under Nash. Also, the Suns still have the upper hand in the series. They got home court back from San Antonio and have proven they can win in San Antonio. They will win at least one of these games and win the series at home in seven.

Yes, the suns are good, but they are playing at home without their huge player Amare Stoudamire, who happens to be playing the hugest factor in this series Tim Duncan. On offense, Stoudamire avgs in the playoffs 24 PPG and 12.1 RBG. That is a huge offensive loss. Then when the spurs go up 3-2 they will be back at home to close it out. The suspension was rediculous and should be changed at the end of the season.

I agree that the suspension will affect the series, but don't act like the Suns are up a creek without a battle. Nash has led this team brilliantly without Amare. The Suns have rallied through contraversy once in San Antonio to take home court back, if they lose due to a flukey set of circumstances they can take another game. Honestly, do you think that Amare is going to come back in game six and going to do anything aside from lighting the game up? Meanwhile they still have the 5th game in Phoenix which I fully expect them ready to rally behind Steve Nash and the rest of their players. Don't overreact due to a one game suspension.

I don't know what the all-time record is for the home team closing out a series, but i know theres a huge chance it will happen. Thomas will have lots of trouble with Duncan in game 5. If the spurs win game 5, they will have two chances to close it out and there is a big chance they will close it out and make it to the western confrence finals.

Sure there is a chance that they will be able to close it out, but I do not expect it to happen. Players often rally around controversy. The players are going to step it up two times and the crowd is going to be especially rampant. The Suns still have plenty of weapons and have a mental advantage after grabbing the home court back. Meanwhile, even if they lose they will play as one POed team in game six and I expect Amare to explode when he returns.

Report Offensive CommentAlthough as a Spurs fan, I feel Robert Horry should be suspended, I also agree with the NBA in suspending Diaw and Stoudemire. The league has to show its authority as the NFL is now doing, and is even under more pressure to step up its act as the NFL is. They have to enforce the rules on everyboyd whether its superstars like Amare down to the unknown players of the league.
