Randy Moss
Reggie Wayne
Braylon Edwards
T.J Houshmanzadeh
Chad Johnson

As you all know, Randy Moss is having an insane season so far. He has 56 catches for 924 yards and 12 touchdowns. He leads the AFC in yards and Touchdowns for WR. He averages 102.4 yards per game. He averages 16.7 yards per catch. He has accounted for 42 1st downs.

Wayne has 59 catches for 870 yards. He is 2nd in yards in the AFC. He also has 6 touchdowns. He averages 96.7 yards per game. He averages 14.7 yards per catch. He has accounted for 40 1st downs.

Edwards has 43 catches. That might not seem like a lot, but he has 752 yards which is 4th in the AFC and 10 touchdowns. He averages 83.6 yards per game and 17.5 yards per catch. He has accounted for 33 1st downs.

Housh has 68 catches for 719 yards. He leads the AFC in receptions. He also has 10 touchdowns. He averages 79.9 yards per game and 10.6 yards per catch. He has accounted for 40 1st downs.

Johnson has 51 catches for 852 yards and 3 touchdowns. He is 3rd in receiving yards in the AFC. He averages 94.7 yards per game and 16.7 yards per catch. He has accounted for 46 1st downs.

randy moss
reggie wyane
hines ward
tj houshmandah
braylon edwards

randy moss is the man, i do think stallworth and welker help him not get triple covered, but the way he runs 5 times faster than he did in oakland and minesota.

wayne: now it is offical he doesnt need harrison to be great. he makes plays while you have wide recievers like adam moorehead and thrope on the other side. he reminds me of a more hard working verison of plaxico buress and should make da pro bowl

hines ward: he makes santonio holmes and nate washington makes plays, because of how defenses respect him. in the baltimore game htey double team him, and big ben throws 5 td's. ward is the best blocking wide reciver too

the housh has scored a touchdwon in every game except in this lasst one which was against chris mccalister. he is better than chad johnson cause he is consisent and doesnt complain and knows how to get open, i hope he makes he pro bowl he deserves it

edwards is good, but he has a bit of a easy matchups, i want to see him go up against bailey or newman or my man deangelo hall. but he is good and is a great deep threat to go to but u know that he feeds off winslow

Alright you picked Hines Ward, so I will argue against him. Here is a comparison between Johnson and Ward.

Yards
Johnson- 852
Ward- 382

Catches
Johnson- 51
Ward- 35

TD
Johnson- 3
Ward- 4

AVG YPC

Johnson- 16.7
Ward- 10.9

Yards Per Game
Johnson- 94.7
Ward- 54.6

1st Downs
Johnson- 46
Ward- 23

So as you see Johnson beats Ward in every category except for 1 and that is TD and Ward only has 1 more TD than Johnson.

Johnson has way more yards and more catches. Johnson has gained more 1st downs and has a better YPC and yards per game. Ward has 0 100-yard games and Johnson has 3 100-yard games. The most yards Ward has received in a game is 88 yards and Johnson has received for 209 yards in one game.

You were talking about Ward having other good WR teammates. Well Johnson also has Houshmanzadah on his team. Housh has been a Top 5 WR this year. So they both have other good WR on their team.

Ward is a great blocker, but his receiving numbers just have not been there this year, well they have not been like Johnson's numbers. So when looking at the comparison I would have to say that Johnson has had the better season so far.

ok so lets see wins ward is far more successful than johnson. did anyone see that drop vs buffalo. trust me i love chad but look at the win column. u call ward a cry-baby chad is a cry-baby throwing fits to marvin lewis. t.j houshmadzah teaches me how to catch a ball on the sidelines when they lost to buffalo. andre johnson when healthy is top 5 no doubt before he got injuried he led the afc in everything. lee evans is also good but reminds of chris chambers needs to find the right qb.stats dont matter when your tema is 3-6 and has no defense. ward also missed 2 games so there u go and 1 more thing which reciever has a super bowl ring and even better a super bowl mvp i think u no who

First of all, you said that I was calling Ward a cry baby. Where in my arguments did I call Ward a cry baby because I did not call him one.

Now you are calling Chad Johnson a cry baby because I do not think he is. If you can get me a video on where he is crying, then I would believe, but since I do not have proof I do not believe it.

The Super Bowl that the Steelers won does not matter in this throwdown. If you see the title it says ???Top 5 WR in the AFC so far this season???. It says nothing about 2 years ago or last year.

Now why are you talking about Andre Johnson, Chris Chambers, and Lee Evans when they are not involved in this throwdown what so ever. They do not belong in this throwdown unless someone picked them as a top 5 WR, but we both did not and you cannot change your pick.

The Bengals defense being bad is not Johnson???s fault. It is not his fault that they stink and the Bengals keep losing because of their defense.

If you look at the comparison between Johnson and Warsd in my 2nd argument. Then you can determine who you think is the better WR so far this season. In my opinion I think it has to be Johnson.

yea if healthy maybe andre johnson. stats are overrated ward is more of a team guy and has scored more td's td's biggest stat. with a run first team and with heath miller and santonio holmes. chad always complians and no1 will forgot that drop in buffalo. he is a great reciever but hines ward is consisently bettter. true this year ward has missed 2 games, but he still have put up numbers. also chad is putting up vs bad defenses like the browns and jets. ward has gone up aginst chris mcclaister [which johnson did too],nate celements, and later asante samuel, honestly look at carrer stats and tell me becuase ward is a leader and does the little things for teams to win games, if chad was so good he be making a imapct to win games, not lose games to the billls and barley beating the jets

I barely missed it too. I'll give my list, but wait for this guy to give his first.

November 17, 2007  11:09 AM ET

No order? Man up son!

November 17, 2007  11:10 AM ET

1. Randy Mizz-oss
2. Braylon Edwards
3. Reggie Wayne
4. TJ Houshmanzadeh
5. Santonio Holmes

November 17, 2007  11:11 AM ET

Phillyman simply used the top five in recieving yards.

Hopefully the Heartbreak Kid will pick up on that and use it against him. How about Welker?

61 catches (3rd), 651 yards (10th), 7 TD's (4th)... I don't think anyone will man up and use 'em though.

November 17, 2007  11:15 AM ET

Holmes is doing all that on a run heavy team as the #2 WR!

November 17, 2007  11:15 AM ET

and he is doing it with an offense full of weapons.

November 17, 2007  11:16 AM ET

Welker that is.

November 17, 2007  11:18 AM ET

Welker is doing it on a team that puts up 9,673 points per game.

November 17, 2007  11:23 AM ET

He didnt pick Welker or Holmes. Those were the other wto i thought he would pick

November 17, 2007  11:23 AM ET

I never put anything in order

November 17, 2007  11:24 AM ET

Welker's advantage are his weapons!

The rest of the team is so well covered LB's just can't contain welker.

November 17, 2007  11:30 AM ET

I really like Heartbreak's argument for Heinz though. He is the best blocking WR and does get doubled.

November 17, 2007  11:35 AM ET

And that makes him a top 5 wideout? I think not. He doesnt have the pure athletic ability that Welker, T.J. Edwards or Moss has. There is some intangible they have when you watch them play. Ward doesnt have it.

November 17, 2007  11:38 AM ET

He did not pick Welker

November 17, 2007  11:40 AM ET

I would go with Lee Evans. He just hasnt been utilized to the best of his abilities yet. A couple games this season Qb carousel and all that.

Pitt runs more than any team Phillyman. Put your numbers away.
