They have started off doing good. They are healthy and have proven they can compete with the big dogs. They have probably started off with the toughest schedule this season, with the exception of minnesota.

Phil Jackson was on Colin Cowherd's radio show last week. He said something really interesting. He said the team was trying to go a route like what Boston did, and surround Kobe with some guys to try and win, and that didn't work out, and now they are going a different route.
There is a reason this team is seriously considering the notion of trading Kobe. They know they won't win with this team, and they couldn't get the pieces to make Kobe happy. When they find the right deal, they will trade Kobe.
It will be like the AI trade, they will wait, and it will take forever, but he will be traded for 50 cents on the dollar.
That is why they aren't making the playoffs. Until then, I think Kobe is going to try to win, and make himself look as valuable as possible in trade talks.

Again with the trade talks. Just drop it until something happens okay.
If I understand correctly, you are trying to say that the lakers will not make the playoffs because kobe wants out. last time i checked he is still playing with them. dont make an argument based on might happen situations. because the kobe trade might happen, but it has not yet. so therefore they will make the playoffs this season with kobe bryant.

You are making a guess at how the next few months will go as far as all the teams in the West are shaking out. That is just as much of a guess as me saying Kobe gets traded.
Even if Kobe isn't traded, then he will sulk about being stuck with this team. The Lakers are playing above expectations, which is reason to think that might level off. It is an 82 game season, and the West is pretty loaded.
Honestly, what are the chances that the Lakers remain drama-free, everyone is happy and they continue winning?
I say not likely.
MH7KiNG said 11/17, 09:45 PM
yes we are making a guess, but this one is with kobe on the team. they will not remain drama free as there is always drama in the nba with every team. and honestly the chances of them making the playoffs are higher than the not.

I have been saying all along since he said that he wanted to be traded that he would not be traded this year. They won 42 games last year and should win at least eight more to win 50.
That enough to make the playoffs?
