FFTL Round 1 : Top 5 fantasy WR for the rest of the season : Weeks 12 on. Week 11 does not count. ( No Order )

This is in no order. Week 11 doesn't count

Randy Moss
Terrell Owens
Braylon Edwards
Reggie Wayne
T.J Houshmanzadeh

I know these are the top 5 so far this season, but I think they will continue to remain the Top 5.

They all can score touchdowns. In fantasy you will probably not be a Top 5 WR if you cannot score touchdowns. All 5 of them have at least 6 TD.

Now they all have pretty good Quarterbacks throwing to them. Tony Romo is good, Tom Brady is amazing, Peyton Manning is great, Derek Anderson has played good, and Carson Palmer is good. So that is another reason why they can be Top 5.

Now all of the WR above are on teams that like to pass and do not just run all game. If you are on a team that runs a lot, then it will be hard to be a Top 5 WR.

Now all of those WR can gain a lot of yards as they all have at least 700 yards and 3 of them are in the top 3. All of them are in the Top 7.

All of them get a lot of passes intended to them. All of have at least 43 catches and 4 have at least 50 catches. Catches create yardage opportunities.

All of these stats used are from Weeks 1 through 10. These stats do not include stats from Week 11.

I agree with all but one of your picks. Here is my guesses:

1. Moss, of course. he has 66 rec. for 1052 yards. an average of 15.9 yards a catch, and 16 T.D.'s
2. Owens has 58 rec. for 1028 yards. avg. 17.7 and 12 TD's
His last 3 games have had a TD.
3.Houshmandzadeh has 76 rec. for 806 yards averaging 10.6 w/ 11 TD's
10 TD's in 9 games
4. Wayne has 63 rec. w/ 945 yards avg. 15 and 6 TD's
5 rec. in 7-8 games in a row.
5. Jennings 34 rec. 565 yards 16.6 avg and 7 TD's. It doesn't sound like much but he has only played in 7 of the 9 games and still has amazing stats. in his past 7 games he has 7 TD's.

these are the facts above. Most of these recievers are no brainers this year. this was pretty easy.

Alright one of the reasons that I did not pick Greg Jennings was because his team does not have much of a run game and eventually they will double team Jennings because of that.

You got to have Braylon Edwards. He is playing better than Jennings right now and his team is on fire. Also a very important thing to remember is the Browns have a very easy schedule and Edwards is on a team with a pretty good running back. The Browns have a better running game than the Packers any way.

The Packers beat teams by more than the Browns beat teams by. So at the end of the game, the packers could be running while the Browns are in a close game and have to be passing the ball also.

Edwards so far this season has more yards, more TD, more catches, and more 1st downs, so what says he will not be better the rest of the season.

In a standard league so far Edwards has the 3rd most fantasy points for WR and Jennings has the 17th most fantasy points for WR.

Also at the end of the season, the Packers could have already clinched and they might want to sit the starter, so Jennings would not play. The Browns would still be fighting for contention so Edwards would play. That will play in

the reason jennings doesn't have as many yards, TD's catches and 1st downs is because, like i said earlier, he sat out the first 2 games. with the stats that he has for the 2 less games that he has played this season, he would be up there, if not higher than edwards. the packers don't have a running game so wouldn't that help the passing game? if there is no run, then the only option is to pass it all the time. i don't know about you but i think that would help the WR's stats alot.

Edwards has a far more easier schedule than Jennings does. That such a big factor in fantasy and in this discussion in could be the difference in who will have the better fantasy season for the rest of the season.

No a bad running game can hurt the passing game a lot. Then can double team the top 2 WR on the Packers because their running game is not a big threat and the Packers passing game is a bigger threat to do more damage then their running game.

I will show you both the Packers and the Browns remaining schedules.

BROWNS SCHEDULE

HOU
@ARI
@NYJ
BUF
@CIN
SF

PACKERS SCHEDULE

@DET
@DAL
OAK
@STL
@CHI
DET

I think that the Browns is a little easier. The Cowboys and Lions have good Defenses and the Bears is not that bad. The Browns really do not have a tough defense in there schedule.

My first two arguments sum up what I really had to say.

Yes I know that Jennings missed 2 games, but his stats are far behind Edwards and I do not think that 2 games would give him the same amount of fantasy points that Edwards had.

the packers have found their running game in grant. he'll take pressure off jennings and driver and open them up for more yardage. and are you saying raiders, rams and bears are hard? that's crazy. we already beat the lions 2x so the boys are the only threat. after them this sunday it is a easy road to the playoffs. and if you didn't notice, only 2 of them teams actually have a D to think about stopping favre. edwards may be doing better now, but favre will find jennings alot more than edwards will even see. also with the whole "no run will lock up receivers" thing, that is how all the packers WR's have such high stats. because the packers WON their games by passing, even without the run.

why no order?
it never said no order on that blog wallace posted

I never put anything in order. some other people did not put it in order and i asked Wallace and he said you did not have to put it in order.

The blog doesn't say it must be in order.

yes i am scared EF

Report Offensive Comment

I hate putting things in order because then they will just change the order of one person and not put a different person. I do not like that.

I am sorry for those who like the order, but i never put things in order and you should know that by now.

Anyone including Andre Johnson would have won...easily.
