LSU, OSU, and USC are all likely to be left out of the BCS Championship game, and any of these three teams could beat the two BCS finalists, thereby casting doubt on the "national Champion, whoever that may be. This situation points out the inequities in the BCS ranking system and underscores the need for a college football playoff system.

Hold on there, Hotcakes!
THERE ARE NOT EVEN 2 FINALISTS YET!
THE CONFERENCES STILL HAVE TO PLAY CHAMPIONSHIPS!
That DOES come into play, and if the Sooners beat Mizz, OSU jumps to #2, and USC lost mid-season, which hurt their hopes.
They DO need a playoff system, but teams are NOT out of it yet, #1 could yet fall to the Oklahoma Sooners.

Report Offensive CommentAnd LOL.
LSU is 10-2 instead of 8-4 because of a miracle TD against Auburn and the 5/5 against Florida.
They are definitely not the #5 team in the Nation.
After that loss they should've fallen out of the Top 10.
