Mizzou-Oklahoma Who will win?

I say that next weekend NO.1 Mizzou will get knocked off by OU. Here are my reasons: NO.1's can never hold NO.1 And Oklahoma will be coming into the game after a win at OSU. So for the game I pick OU.

So?

Mizzou is coming off an even bigger win against previously ranked #2 and previously unbeaten Kansas.

Mizzou will win the Big 12 Championship.

Yes Mizzou lost the last time they played but:
A) it was in Oklahoma. Not this time
B) Mizzou didn't have Tony Temple. This time they do.

And it was only a 10 point loss too.

Mizzou all the way for a Mizzou/WVU championship

Look at who Kansas have played up until Mizzou. And Tony Temple wont do crap.

What's your point?

Oklahoma has two loses buddy. One to Colorado and one to Texas Tech.

And Tony Temple won't do crap? He's a great RB.

Besides, Oklahoma better be prepared for Missouri's passing attack. Chase Daniel is a GREAT QB and Oklahoma's pass D isn't very good.

Mizzou may have a great QB in Daniel but OU have a great QB in Bradford too. It will be a highscoring game but OU will outscore Mizzou. Tony Temple will not be a major factor in the game. Because Mizzoui are a passing team and will rely on the passing game. I will agree that Mizzou are a great team but let's face it no.1 will get beat again.

Yes Mizzou is a passing team, but they run the spread option (if I'm not mistaken - they DO go into the shotgun a lot).

Tony Temple is a major step up from whoever was in last time, and at least this time Oklahoma will have to respect the run game.

Last time it was only a 10-point game, in which Oklahoma was at home, Mizzou killed themselves with turnovers, and Temple wasn't playing.

Being that it is in a neutral site and Temple is back, aside from comitting too many stupid turnovers again, Mizzou should win this.

This should be a great game...

It'll definitely be the best game of the weekend.

I love how your name describes your arguements Crappo.

Report Offensive Comment

WVU is the national champion as of now.

No one can stop that offense.

WOW Crappo is right meaning his name and argument. I have had doubts about MU all year but everytime I watch them play I am amazed. I for one would love to see WVU and MU in the NC. At least it will be entertaining right?

Report Offensive Comment

Among the worse arguments ever.

Taking off my homer hat:
-Oklahoma won close at home, now wil be playing on neutral, perhaps hostile field (expect Missouri fans to travel)
-Missouri shot themselves in the foot that day
-Missouri's strength is their passing game, Oklahoma's achilles heel is their passing defense.

Now,turning my red sweatshirt inside out...

Gooooooo Sooners!

Plus, as I said, Mizzou was missing Mr. Tony Temple

Report Offensive Comment

Mizzou is on fire. Dont bet against them.

I'm a hard core mizzou fan and i'm so nervous about this game, it means mizzous national championship berth. I think Mizzou can pull it opuit though.

Horrible argument.

Factors favoring Missouri
1. In any rematch between two solid teams, the team that lost the first game has a competitive edge: revenge, pride, etc.
2. The Tigers won't have to put up with 90,000 screaming Sooner fans like in the first game.
3. The Sooners have always had a difficult time defending against the pass...the secondary has trouble staying with the receivers...we've already seen this problem against Missouri's vertical game and if anything Daniel has improved.
4. The only way the Sooners stalled the Missouri offense was by putting pressure on Daniel up front. But the Sooners' sack-master, Auston English, is out with a broken foot. Last I heard his backup was out injured, too.
5. Freshman running back extraordinaire Demarco Murray is out with a dislocated knee. Even if, by some good fortune, he can play, he won't be showing the moves he usually does.
6. Missouri is playing for a chance at the title game. The Tigers will be pumped.

Factors favoring Oklahoma
1. After getting banged up against Tech, Bradford is back to his almost super-human accuracy. Missouri is about 97th in passing defense.
2. Even with DeMarco out, the two-back system (Allen, Brown) was still highly effective in last week's game.
3. Since 2000, Oklahoma has played in 5 Big 12 champ games, and won 4 of those. They're used to this. Missouri hasn't won a conference title since 1969, in the Big 8. These are somewhat uncharted waters for the Tigers.
4. Tigers Jr tailback Chase Coffman will either miss the game or be less than full speed on a twisted ankle. The Sooners will be able to focus more on shutting down Martin Rucker.

Overall, I'd give the edge to Missouri, but if the Sooner D brings their A+ game, the Sooners could pull it out.

Missouri's defense is not any good. Oklahoma will score points at will against their defense. Oklahoma's defense will do a better job of containing Chase Dainel. Oklahoma beat Missouri in Norman by 10 points, 41-31. They will beat Missouri again.

And one more thing, West Virginia's defense is not any good either. So whoever plays them will score at will against them in the National Championship game.

In collage football unexpected things happen. I mean no one expected Appalanchen state to beat michagen but it happend. So why not Oklahoma beating Mizzou it's more likely than the Appalanchen state game.
