Julius Peppers

I wish you good luck with finding someone who is having a worse year than him.

Last Sunday against the Saints, 0 tackles.
Season Stats, 33 tackles, 2.5 sacks

Cedric Benson
Before getting injured

Pepper used to be considered as 1 of the top 10 players in the league.

Benson never reached that status.

And how many elite defensive ends out there aren't being double teamed (wake forest)?

Peppers is gonna cost a lot of people in the Panther organizaion their jobs.

The bears traded their top rusher hoping that Benson would be their running back of the future. Benson himself has taken away the only part of the Bears offense that was any good...their running game. He was benched numerous times. Thus he is the biggest disappointment

Peppers has no other pass rushers (no one on the team has over 2 sacks), thus leaving teams to double and triple team peppers) Heis not the biggest apponitment.

Another bigger disappointment....Jevon Kerse

Ju Pep was being compared to Reggie White and Bruce Smith.

Benson was being compared to Ricky Williams.

Peppers is still on the field and getting the respect from offenses that he deserves. If he was singled up itd be different but he's getting double and triple teamed.

Benson was suppose to carry the Bears squad. You don't trade your star running back (Jones) if you don't think Benson can carry the team. He's been the bigger dissappointment

Porter - Fins

peppers has been doubled team all year, i dont think he is 100% healthy

November 27, 2007  02:53 PM ET

Reggie Bush.....

November 27, 2007  03:02 PM ET

Bush....hands down. He is supposed to be that offensive spark. Well, he's offensive alright.

November 27, 2007  03:07 PM ET

Vince Young hands down, because he is going to keep his team (mostly his stellar defense) from making the playoffs.

CEDRIC BENSON????

Who in the hell outside of BEARS FANS thought Benson was any good? Anybody with EYES could see that he was an injury prone back with poor running skills who'd be a mediocre career backup at best. Anyone who thought he'd have anything more than a very, very average season is a fool.

Peppers, on the other hand, is a HUGE disappointment. He had a great season last year, and we knew he could do even better. He was in a contract year. He had been consistently great... and he lays an egg in the sack column for like 7 weeks!

Not only is Peppers getting NO pressure on the QB, but one of the NFL's best run defenders is suddenly getting pancaked and run at consistently by opposing offenses.

I was watching that Saints-Car game this weekend and they said Peppers got a severe case of bronchitis in training camp and he has not been himself energy-wise since. Factored this in as I still voted for tef.

Also, Jevon Kearse is NOT a disappointment this year.

How many times must it be pointed out by me to clueless Eagles fans that he SUCKS??? He is constantly injured, and he hasn't had double digit sacks since, like, 2001. He hasn't disappointed anyone but delusional Iggle fanatics.

Also, Peppers plays on a good defensive line. Mike Rucker is one of the NFL's most technically sound defensive linemen (although he is obviously still struggling with his knee), and Kris Jenkins is a massive, Pro Bowl defensive tackle. That is a decent line. Also, NO ONE is triple teaming Peppers; he doesn't need to be. And almost nobody is doubling him.

November 27, 2007  03:16 PM ET

That could be a cause, Cassidy, as he has looked worn out and tired in games.

But still, he is a freakishly athletic defensive end who has the capability to single handedly take over a game. He is still quite young. He should be able to do SOMETHING...

Brett Favre sucks....

Peppers had some kind of ailmentin training camp and it is still hampering him. You can just see it in his body language. I am really dissappointed in David Carr. He has looked so bad (confused), he would probably get cut by his high school team. He has no passion and his mechanics are going in the tank. I cannot wait for the Panthers to release him.

Before the injury to Freeney, Freeney was having the better year than Peppers, which gives me great enjoyment.

November 28, 2007  06:43 PM ET

Benson is closer to being a disappointment than Peppers
