****RULE****** *****NO VOTING UNTILL BOTH PEOPLE HAVE HAD AN ARGUEMENT*******
Alright, so on to the throwdown. I am going to say no he won't. I'm not saying that he won't try, I'm just saying that he won't play another game. I don't think that he will be able to play after his jail sentence. I don't think that he will be fit and I dont think that he will have the talent anymore. Some things that he will lose while in jail are:
His throwing accuracy. I mean what he is going to use to practice. Is him and his jail sell mates are going to play catch with a rock? I don't think so. So he will definitely lose that.
His throwing strength. I don't think that he will be able to throw as far with a football. He might get stronger because he will probably lift a lot of weights, but other than that I don't think that he will do any more than that.
His rushing ability. Yes, he was just getting to his prime and now he will lose some of his prime time. I just don't see him being able to rush out of the pocket like he was able to last year. Yes, I do see him losing some of his speed because he probably won't be running all over the place working on it.
More in next arguement.

I think Vick will return to the NFL, maybe not as a starter for a couple of years but eventually some team will give him a shot and he might be a QB after his jail sentence (as I'll explain below) but he will be part of a team for sure.
His throwing accuracy, he will probably lose that (we don't know what his conditions will be once behind that fence or jail cell) but a mini camp, maybe 3rd or 4th string QB during the preseason and playing on the practice squad might help out...I just don't think he'll be a QB once his sentence has been completed.
His throwing strength...if you ever watch movies, dateline, or whatever show it is about being behind bars, all you see is an outside weight room, you know he is going to get better arm strength.
Rushing ability. I think if he comes back he will become a RB anyway only because he is going to be much stronger upper body wise, if he would like to stay in football shape, I don't see why he couldn't run around the compound (inside the fence of course), that would help him keep his running ability going.
I'll say more of how Vick can be used when he returns to the NFL, but you can't throw away talent like that without another chance.
Mr. News:Vick's Harsh Reality said 12/02, 11:23 AM
Vick won't return to the NFL as I said because I think that he will lose a lot of his ability. I do see how he could come back as a RB but I don't think that he will. I don't think that he can catch really and I don't think that he could be a good running back, and I think that even if he tries, he won't make it back to the NFL.
I know that there are probably treadmills in jail but I don't think that he will go on that too much. I just don't see him staying fit because they really don't feed them anything too good. I haven't been to jail, so I really don't know what specifically they serve, but I just don't see him staying fit like he used to be. I see him gaining weight and, yes, he will probably lift weights, but just because he gets stronger, doesn't mean he will be able to be a QB in the NFL. I don't even see him as a RB in the NFL. I don't think he is a RB type guy. I just don't really seeing him having the talent for a RB. All he would be able to do is run the ball. He won't be able to catch as well, and I don't think that the jail will give them a football. They might have a basketball court, but that would probably be it (I'm not sure though). I don't see him coming bac
Jonesy: 49ers 2-3 said 12/02, 12:05 PM
As we saw last weekend with Ricky Williams coming off missing 2 yrs of football, Vick will do the same thing...he will probably get banged up and bruised but I see him contributing to some degree (like I said 3rd or 4th string) or even learning RB.
I have family (been in jail once myself, sucked) but they actually do have people getting things for you (if you watch some of the movies like Shawshank Redemption), they will get you things you need. I see them letting Vick get a football, who he's going to throw it to, I couldn't tell you. I didn't see a treadmill either but the yards are a pretty nice size to run around, will he do that, I don't know, would like to think he would so he can stay in shape and get on a team very quickly and show he hasn't lost anything.
He was injured for most of the 2003 season and came back strong and I know this is a totally different situation. Does he deserve a second chance, I think so, everyone gets a second chance (look how many Willams has gotten, as stated above totally different situation with him).
If Vick wants to get paid again, he will learn any position he can to get paid and anyone trying to get in the NFL will do the same thing.
Mr. News:Vick's Harsh Reality said 12/02, 04:43 PM
Ricky Williams wasn't in jail. He was probably working out and actually trying to work for playing football again. He worked out and he ran and he probably had a trainer. I don't think that he didn't do anything, he worked for it more than Vick will probably work for it here. I see Vick throwing a football, but who? Unless, he gets someone, like a jailmate, to throw the ball with, I just don't see him being as fast, and I don't see him being able to throw with accuracy like he had. I just see him trying to come back, and failing. I don't think that any team will want him because if he is in jail for 5 years, he is then out of his prime and now on the down hill. He can be in jail from anywhere from 2 to 5 years in prison. That isn't good. He will, when he comes back, be on the down rise and I don't think that he will get any breaks because he turned himself in early. He still has a sentencing this month sometime. I see him trying to come back, just don't see him playing another down or even being in the NFL any more. I don't see him coming back and playing. I don't know what team will want him. I don't see any team that will want to give him a chance. He'll never be in the NFL again
Jonesy: 49ers 2-3 said 12/02, 05:04 PM
True, Williams wasn't in jail, during part of a year he was somewhere overseas, not concentrating on football. As of right now, how many celebs have gotten breaks while they were in jail, just tell me that (tyson eating sloppy joes, lohan couple of hours in jail), etc. Also, what team wouldn't want a qb with a strong arm (as we've both said, he will have a strong arm when he gets out). Like I said it will take a few practices or pre-season/practice squad to get his timing back, even though he is pretty much a run first pass second qb.
How many people do we give 2nd chances too?? What he did was really bad, thats a given and he is getting what he deserves, why not give another chance, its in our system to do that and hope he can rediem (i know misspelled) himself.
Also, Vick is right now 27 yrs old, if he does get 2-5 and might get out for good behavior, he'll be 30...your telling me he is going to miss his prime, in the nfl today i see a few qbs well into their 30's and doing great. He will be with a team, probably won't take a snap his first year back but he has a ton of time to learn the system again. He won't be with the Falcons but somone will take him.

I got money on jonesy for this one. Not that I think you're wrong, but your arguments don't have merit. it is very possible for him to maintain his level of fitness. I don't know if you've seen a prison before, but prisoners can take supplements, use weight equipment, and yes, they can run.
They have footballs in prison.
If I were Vick, that would be the one thing I would be focusing on. Staying in shape to hopefully play ball again.

1. There are no rules in Fannation.

3. Somebody will give the guy a shot in the NFL.

Vick will not be back. He's not very good to begin with, but more importantly for a team to take him on, they'd also have to be willing to take on all of the baggage that comes with it.
On top of that, he's facing 18-24 months on the federal charges, then has to defend himself against the state charges that could add several years to his sentence.

Vick could be out of commission for 3 or more years. Then he has to get reinstated, by the man he lied to. Not going to be in the NFL, no way, no how

Ricky Williams NEVER hurt anyone or anything. I was happy to see him let back in. Williams is a good person. So the two can't be compared.
