I'll start at RB. Your two, AD and Grant, have a combined 1,669 yards and a combined total of 29 carries a game. My two have 1,916 yards and a combined total of 43 carries a game. While you have the edge at touchdowns (12 to 9), I've got you every where else.
Let's move on to QB, shall we. Big Ben has a higher QB Rating, more TDs, fewer INTs, a higher completion %, all while having fewer attempts per game. Brett has been sacked fewer times and has more yards, but again, I've got you every where else.
WR/TE now. My quartet of Braylon, Ocho, Kellen and TJ has a combined 271 receptions, 34 touchdowns, and 3,681 yards. Yours of Williams, Jennings, Lee and Driver? 214 receptions, 32 touchdowns, and 2,859 yards. Advantage me.
Secret Squirrel said 11/30, 09:02 PM
Keep in mind that Peterson has been out for two weeks and still has better stats than either of your backs, and Grant has gotten all of his stats since week 8. They have just about the same amount of ypg for each tandem, about 170 +/- 10 yards.
Favre has more yards (1000+) and more attempts (100+), and the fact that he only has one more INT is really good. You really can't compare them though, because Favre plays in a passing offense, and Big Ben in a Smashmouth, but I'd take Favre because he has made so little mistakes in that passing offense.

Fair enough. Moving to a big matchup at KR, Hester vs, Cribbs. Both are deadly, no doubt about that. But let's look at the numbers. On KICK RETURNS, both have two touchdowns. But, JC has a higher average, with 32.8 yds, and DH's is only at 24.8. JC also has nearly 1600 yards in kick returning, while DH has 770. And before you pull out the "Devin is a better punt returner" card, notice how we only listed kick returner, not punt returner or KR/PR.
On D, my DBs have 265 tackles and 13 picks between them. Your CBs have 13 picks as well, but only 240 tackles. I have the advantage in the secondary.
Considering you run a 3-4, your linebackers have better stats, so you've got the edge there, and my D-line has the edge. It's not fair to grade a 3-4 front seven and a 4-3 front seven, so we'll call that a wash.
Secret Squirrel said 12/01, 12:04 AM
Uh, uh, uh, not so fast, my DBs lead you in one of the most underrated DB stats. They have 45 Pass Deflections to 42. Plus, like Cassidy said, if your DBs have high numbers of tackles, it's not good. The fact that Madieu Williams alone has 64 tackles and is second on his team in tackles, just shows that his LBs suck. Safeties should not be tacklers. Same with your corners. None of my DBs have over 60, you have 3, and Ed Reed with under 30.
You think that there might be just a random reason why Hester has 15 less returns for 800 less yards? You think he's dropped off from last year? Teams have actually figured out that if you kick away from Hester, he can't return the ball! OMG! That's, like, so advanced it's incredible. Cribbs is still at the point of his career where teams will still kick at him, not expecting big returns. Hester has more trouble, so that the fact he has a 24 yard avg. is very, very good.

Report Offensive CommentFirst off... why didn't you just say third receive and cornerback instead of slot receiver and nickelback? In fact, in today's modern NFL, most teams play different guys in the slot all the time depending on the matchups they want.
BTW, Squirrel, your defense would get run the **** over...

Report Offensive CommentSo what, Esco? The Browns have the NFL's 30th ranked pass defense, and you have BOTH of their starting corners. That is terrible! Either of the top 2 Steelers corners would beat out anyone on your list.
EagleHater: GEAUX TIGERS! | 11/30/07, 09:42 PM
Report Offensive CommentThat's more because of the woeful pass rush than anything. The Brown's secondary has 3 players in the AFC's top 10 Dbacks in tackles, and have 10 INTs in that starting secondary. Pittsburgh's starting defensive backs only have 7 amongst them.
