Kevin Martin ranks 7th in the league in scoring, 20th in steals, is shooting 38% from 3 point land, and is averaging 32 points, assists and rebounds combined. And almost no one knows who he is.

By who? I know who Kevin Martin is, and I think he is an excellent player. My roommate loves Martin... I know plenty of people that think he is an excellent player.
Who underrates him?
And btw, he isnt averaging 32 points, hes avg. 24.

Notice how I said a combination of points, rebounds and assists. If you are just a casual NBA fan, you probably don't know him. And so if Kevin Martin isn't, then who is?

I think its impossible to determine how a player is "most underrated"... Who rates him? Everyone that knows at least a little bit about basketball likely knows who Kevin Martin is. And everyone that knows who he is, likely knows he's a good player. He flies a bit under the radar because he plays for a small market Kings team that isnt very good.

You made my point for me. He plays in a small market, doesn't get arrested every other day, and isn't a flashy type player. He's fundamentally strong and no one seems to wants to pay attention to him because of the reasons stated above. Kevin Martin isn't thrown around in MVP and All-Star conversations. That is what an underrated player is. And you still haven't told me who a player you think is more underrated.

NOW that is funny.
And when you say underrated... By whos standards? If you gave me a list of players in order in the top 50, and I saw that Martin was low on that list... Then we could agree that he is "underrated". But everyone that has ever said anything about Kevin Martin has never suggested that he isnt good... So I still dont understand how he is underrated.

Argue my other point than. How do you want Martin to be given this credit that he so much deserves? Do you want there to be a ceremony before the next Kings game honoring him? And have everyone apologize to him because he isnt being talked about like Kobe and LeBron? I still dont get how people underrate him...
