I am going to pick Fred Taylor, his longevity and skill have made him the best 10 year runningback in my opinion, but I am interested to see who my challenger will pick....here's the facts.
10,221 rushing yards
4.6 yards a carry carrer average
58 touchdowns
2,239 recieving yards
and 15 lost fumbles in 10 years
all in 2,221 attempts.
Not only has he put up good numbers but he has alos been a vital player to the Jags his whole career.

Considering you did not specify current players, I am going to go with Walter Payton. 9 Pro Bowls, 16,726 yards, 110 rushing touchdowns, 4,538 receiving yards, 15 TDs. Quite possibly best NFL player ever.

In reality, your TD means that the player had to be in the NFL for ten years
NOT
The player had to be in the NFL the last ten years

Report Offensive CommentBest Runningback who has been in the league atleast 10 years.
That is the tittle so E. Smith was in the NFL and for 10 years. Trying to get an easy win and might get burned!

Report Offensive Commentyou're a dumbass for sure HAS been not WAS! Has is present tense get a clue!
SI Staff Hater | 11/30/07, 05:12 PM
Report Offensive Comment"has been in the league..." implies that the player is still in the league. if it said "had been in the league..." then DSF's argument would be legit.

Dallas Sports Fan | 11/30/07, 05:18 PM
Report Offensive CommentWalter Payton "has" been in the NFL.
Has can mean past tense too,
He "has" been in the shoe store, meaning that they were there at one point in time.

Report Offensive CommentThanks Terp Just kind of what I was pointing out. He set him self up for what he thought was an easy TD but left the door open to interpretation. I think this is some young kid who got on NFL>com and said wow Fred Taylor has been in the NFL for 10 years I will come up with a TD about it.
