Let's see QB is a push (I'll gladly argue Favre over Elway if you want, though)

I have one of the top 3 running backs of all time, Tomlinson is not up to his level (yet). I prefer a slobberknocker Fullback to a second RB, since you can only hand the ball off to one player at a time. Schlesinger's best stat? Over 200 broken face masks. Neither one of your guys would make a good blocker. My duo gets the edge.

I think I sweep the WR. Carter is better than Brown, Moss already has better career numbers than Rison, and Rison was better than Rod Smith (It hurts to type that).

Your TE is better.

You have the slightly better LT. LG-wash. C-wash (They're both 5-time Pro Bowlers). RG-another wash. Shields is a 12-time Pro-Bowler, but so is McDaniel. RT-Zimmerman wins.

Defense?

I royally kick **** on the D-line. Neil Smith was good, but nowhere near Reggie White. Wiley made 1 Pro Bowl, Doleman? 8.

DT is a savage beating also. Armstrong was slightly above average. Ted Washington was a better DT and Nose Tacke than him. That leaves me 7-time pro bowler John Randle left over!

You can continue the comparison, or dispute what I have. Either way.

Well then, if I understand correctly, I won the O-Line and TE, you win RB and WR, and a tie at QB. Fair enough. 2-2-1 is okay.

On D, your line is way better, I will admit. But at linebacker? My time to shine. Bill Romanowski vs. Darryl Thomas. Advantage me. Junior Seau vs. Seth Joyner. Advantage me. Derrick Thomas' career was cut short, but he still had over 700 tackles and 126 stats, and went to 9 straight Pro Bowls. No time for D-Backs, you can do it. Doing this at school.

No way Romo is better than Talley. They have almost identical career stats (tackles: 1116 to 1137, sacks: 39.5 to 38.5 Pro bowls: 2 each) and Talley accomplished that in fewer seasons. Talley was better (and wasn't on roids). Seau beats Joyner, but not by as much as you think. Derrick Thomas was NOT an Inside Linebacker. He got all his sacks coming off the edge, He wouldn't be useful inside. Gold doesn't belong on your team. Urlacher is the only true ILB on either of our squads, and he's dang good. LB barely goes to you, but my front 7 is still far better.

CB's: Carrier was better than Woodson. Although I biffed that he's a safety and not a corner so you get that one. Carter beats Harris, also.

S: Butler beats Harrison every day and twice on Sundays. But Atwater beats Sharper handily.

K-Me, the stats are overwhelming
P-see Kicker.
KR/PR-see Punter.

I think these teams are very close. However I think my offense would be unstoppable. Remember how good Moss and Carter made Culpepper look? Imagine that with Favre, and Sanders with blocking. My front 7 on D is also just killer. I think those put the NFC North on top.

Plus, you left off Jerry Rice....ouch.

ram... Tampa was in that division until the realignment in 02.... no players?

December 3, 2007  10:49 AM ET

Nice list Ram...I'll hold off on voting though until Esco puts up his list.

December 3, 2007  10:50 AM ET

December 3, 2007  10:53 AM ET

Trust me powers, I would have loved to use some of the linebackers and secondary of those teams. But, alas, we each get 4 teams throughout the tournament, no more.

December 3, 2007  12:31 PM ET

Got ya... I didn't read it through before posting (obviously)

December 3, 2007  12:32 PM ET

Doh! You double clicked. Guess I get to sum everything up.

December 3, 2007  12:34 PM ET

seriously folks, this west team would kill them. Only changes I would make is Champ for Woodson, thats pretty stupid there, and there is a host to go over gold, for ex the "real romo"

Frank Pentangeli | 12/03/07

Anyone know what Frank means here? ^^^^

December 3, 2007  01:26 PM ET

there are 5-10 linebackers better than gold, 1 for example is the "real romo", oh wait i forgot you are on fannation, you must not know anything about football

December 3, 2007  01:28 PM ET

I didn't even notice that. I don't have a clue what he's saying. Frank is like the town drunk. If you're new here you tend to stare, but after a while he blends into the scenery.

By the way Mr. Pentangelli, Bailey didn't play for the Broncos until 2004, thus, he's not eligible.

December 3, 2007  01:29 PM ET

Frankie, Romo is on his list.

December 3, 2007  01:30 PM ET

my bad, im blind, or cant read this mornin, but gold still does not belong, al wilson over gold

December 3, 2007  01:31 PM ET

so can i have dale carter from teh chiefs and dale carter from the broncos?

December 3, 2007  01:38 PM ET

Gotcha....Frank when you said "the real romo" I thought you were referring to the only guy in the NFL so far named Romo - that being the QB for Dallas.

Would've just been a bit more understandable if you said Romanowski.

December 3, 2007  01:44 PM ET

Shouldn't Bill Romanowski be nicknamed "Roma"?

Just asking...
