Some idiot ruined this before:
Seriously. Maybe if they got Favre's balls out of their mouth's they'd have time to look up stats instead of just saying "Favre is #1!!!!!!" when it comes to arguments.

I will open with my comment from the aborted run of this topic:
"...when it comes to stats, the Green Bay Packers have won the most NFL championships than any other franchise. The fact remains that it is the fans, through special "ceremonial stock" issues, who fund major projects for the Packers, not megalomanaical owners like Jerry Jones or Art Modell. The fan base is knowledgable, respectful, and strong despite suffering through many losing seasons between its second and third Super Bowl victories.
Any fan that will suffer Dan Majkowski at quarterback for years is a far better fan than the NFL deserves!"
There are bad fans at any stadium supporting basically any team in existence. To single out the fans of a specific team as the WORST is both in poor taste and wholly illogical. It stands only to pick senseless fights. Packers fans, like the fans of any other NFL franchise, are passionate about their team. Exuberant yet respectful in victory, dejected yet hopeful in defeat, the type of fans the NFL needs more and more...
Remember, we are the fans who tolerate simulated mooning and would still welcome the offender into the fold...

Just talking to NFl fans I've seen here, and in real life, the ratio of decent packer fan to one who's a bambling idiot is probably 1:5. It's ridiculous. Favre can't complete an 8 yard hook route without everybody yelling "OMG, he's back!" And if the Packers win, i heard about the resurgent Brett Favre for the next 72 hours straight on ESPN.
Bigalke said 12/05, 03:27 PM
The media certainly have hyped up Brett Favre this season, but people seem to have short memories about nothing but retirement talk the past several seasons. And this should not be an argument about what you hear on ESPN. The folks in Bristol are paid to talk up whatever story sells best this week. We are debating the merits of Packer fans.
And, regardless of personal experience, there are not too many disrespectful Packers fans around the nation. Sometimes people take sports too seriously around this nation, rioting after victories -- VICTORIES! -- and heckling players and putting themselves and the game in jeopardy. Bottles rain on the field in some stadia... but you would never see such a spectacle in Lambeau Field. Some fans would not let their own players jump into their laps; the Lambeau Leap has become an oft-imitated tradition around the league.
Remember, most people in life can appear like "bambling idiots" given the right circumstance and occasion. I do at times, I am sure Benji does at times, and even the great Brett Favre does at times. But to characterize and caricaturize Packers fans as nothing but thugs is ludicrous...

Mooning the opposing team, a great Lambeau Field tradition. And I will never take Brett's balls out of my mouth for they might lead me to live a successful and happy life, much like his own.
