KG is a better player to build around, not Paul Pierce......

KG's career stats

20.5ppg, 11.4rpg, 4.5apg, 1.7bpg, 1.4spg, 49% FG

KG is revolutionizing the PF position as a ball handling big man that can distribute the ball and you can build around him much more than an overrated
6-7 swingman

No need for stats dj, even though Pierce averages more career points than KG (23.5). And why should pierce outrebound KG when KG lives in the paint. So don't try and tell me that Pierce is overrated.

And if you can build around KG so much than why didn't they bring someone to Minnesota instead of trading him to Boston. Pierce is the one that's being built around buddy.

Much harder to find is a big man with KG's passing skills than Pierce's offensive skills

KG is a better defender and a better shooter while Pierce is only the better SCORER......Thats debateable but a given since Garnett isnt that aggressive offensively yet he still scores 20ppg

Ofcourse it's harder to find a big man who can pass. Who cares if KG can pass he's a forward. He's there to score not to pass. Let the guards do the passing. Point guards are the top assist leaders not 20 ppg forwards.

It's easier to defend too when you're 6'11". Come on dj i'm not buying this garbage about Garnett not being aggressive either. He plays with more emotion that most players in the NBA.

He isnt aggressive; you obviously dont pay much attention to NBA talk......

The knock on him has always been that he isnt aggressive enough; he cld be the type of player like Malone to average 28-30ppg but he gets his teammates involved.....

You know???

Like he is in Boston.......

Well what I'm seeing this year he's been very aggressive.

And Pierce is getting his teammates involved as well, even more so than KG, seeing that he is averaging more assists than KG.

And what helped make Malone so effective is that he was surrounded by talent, just like KG and Pierce are now.

Get to your argument later

December 6, 2007  04:06 PM ET

The T-Wolves werent too sucessful in building around him... But then again the Celtics werent too sucessful in building around Pierce.

Wolves made 7 straight playoff appearances

December 6, 2007  04:12 PM ET

then what was he complaining about?

When????

McHale wanted to rebuild

December 6, 2007  04:14 PM ET

The last couple years Minny wanted to get younger and not spend the 4 it takes to secure a winner

Later

Finish this later

December 6, 2007  04:23 PM ET

ok

December 6, 2007  04:28 PM ET

The T-Wolves did build a solid team with KG. Stephon and KG was a good combo but Steph's immaturity got in the way.

Sam and Latrell were also good pieces but age got in the way.

December 6, 2007  05:35 PM ET

KG is not a good ball handler. Dirk and Yi Jianlian are both better ball handling big men.

December 6, 2007  06:19 PM ET

Like OJ and Vick, I'll wait for final arguments...
really good TD tho.. especially for a CELTICS fan
Go celts ! 15-2 ! WOO HOO
I think that equals our total wins for all of last season....

Read this statement COMPLETELY......

KG and Odom are very similar, big men that are excellent passers and rebounders.......But the knocks on them are they arent aggressive enough offensively

KG is a HOF'er though because he is a better defensive player and a better scorer, albeit slight better scorer (5ppg)......

December 7, 2007  11:15 AM ET

KG without question.

December 7, 2007  01:49 PM ET

Silly rabbit it is KG's team now. Pierce is simply a cog! They have tried that building aroung him a couple of times it was time to bring in the true talant!

KG on a bad team can make the playoffs in the western conference. Peirce on a bad team is sub .500 in the EAST. I would say build a team around KG if you wanna win.
