they will
my guess 35 14
Cowboys-Celtics-Chisox said 12/09, 02:58 AM
You can guess all you like, but don't forget that LSU lost to a BAD Arkansas team and a mediocre Kentucky team. Proclaiming them national champs in a blowout over a team that is making it's second consecutive appearance is a bit presumptuous, don't ya think?
demecoryans1 said 12/09, 06:01 PM
it took 6 overtime Quarters to beat LSU
ohio state lost to illinois
Cowboys-Celtics-Chisox said 12/09, 06:05 PM
So? Illinois is in a BCS bowl game, how about KY and Ark?
Do overtime losses not count in your universe?
And how do you figure LSU is going to score 35 on Ohio State? With that D you can't ever count out the Buckeyes, but to predict a blowout like that is just silly.
demecoryans1 said 12/10, 01:23 AM
the only reason illinois is in a bcs game is because ohio state is in the national championship
Cowboys-Celtics-Chisox said 12/10, 01:35 AM
Huh? Illinois had a great season.
You still haven't explained how LSU is going to score on that Ohio State D. Just ain't gonna happen.

Report Offensive CommentI think LSU will win just because the SEC is much tougher than the Big Ten. That was proven last year with the Gators, and it will be proven again with LSU.

Report Offensive Commentgogaters it wasn't proven last year, the SEC went 1-2 vs the Big 10, but good try.
CCC- good argument you have got my vote

Report Offensive Commentand demecoryans1, good luck hoping LSU puts up 35 on the BEST DEFENSE IN THE NATION, they are ranked #1 across the board on D

Report Offensive CommentAside from VT, LSU has scored 35 or more in regulation against 3 teams from the major conferences:
Alabama
Miss
Miss State
all in the lower half of the SEC west
otherwise their highest is 30 against Auburn

Do you really want to nit pick about how they lost? How about how they stayed at only 2 losses...
-Score in the last minute to beat Florida
-Score in the last second to beat Auburn (now we know why they didn't kick the FG to go into OT)
-Score 2x in the last 3 minutes to beat 'Bama
-Interception return for a TD in the 4th to beat Tennessee
Thye squeaked back into the title game. Lets hope they do better than they did in the regular season, where they were 4 scores in 5 minutes from finishing 7-5
Close games are a reality for teams that win on defense. Coming from behind shouldn't be.
Heck, I even believe either LSU or USC should be playing for the title game - what do you think people who believe they shouldn't be there are thinking?
