I disagree w/ your statement of, quote, "The Ravens are a bunch of classless punks, as is their coach."

I don't believe you can classify an entire team just because of a couple players. For example, you said this after their MNF meltdown vs the Pats (i was there). The antics of Bart Scott were not condoned by myself or alot of fans, that was classless & stupid. However, i'm sure when you made that statement you had Ray Lewis in mind. Despite his legal issues 7 years ago (and not since) he hasn't whined &/or complained & actually grabbed Bart Scott after his tirade & tried to set him straight.

The only thing Samari Rolle did was complain about how the ref verbally treated him. Now, I found this stupid too, but he didn't bash their calls & made his claim in a classy way. He even got interviewed the next morning & said he wasn't bothered by the calls, just the ref, & that he thought the Pats were going undefeated from there on out (so far he's right, obviously).

Granted, McAlister made some comments & was fined, but I don't know if you can classify him as a "classless punk" anymore since he hasn't been in any legal trouble or on the field trouble for several years now.

Sorry but your franchise IS classless and a bunch of punks. It's very existence is proof of that. Modell moved the team from Cleveland where the fanbase supported him despite his best effort to destroy the franchise. He fired the greatest HOF Coach Paul Brown because he didn't like the accolades Brown recieved. He ran Jim Brown into early retirement because of another personality conflict.

He blocked Baltimore's expansion effort then moved his team there, announcing his move 2 weeks before a vote that would build him a new stadium, but not give him the sweetheart deal B'more did. Your city opened it's legs like the cheap **** that populate the harbor area in Kosovo on the Chesapeake

You have a history of criminal players like RBs Bam Morris & Jamal Lewis who were signed despite drug convictions, Ray Lewis participated in the deaths of two men & has never made an effort to apologize for his role in their deaths, CMac & Leon Searcy beat women, TSuggs attacks people with a metal pipe

Billick is the biggest fraud in the league his rep as an offensive genius has been exposed by all 10 QB careers he's ruined and his smug demeanor and prickish tude convey prove my argument

You couldn't be more wrong about the whole move from Cleveland plus, you're ripping on the owners moves BEFORE he moved to Baltimore. How does that count agains the Ravens if he did that when they were still the BROWNS? The only person that blocked Baltimores expansion efforts was Tagliabue, not Modell, FYI. How did Ray Lewis never make an effort w/ the whole murder thing ? He paid the families in out of court settlements because of murders that his FRIENDS committed. In 11/06, in SI, there was an article about it & the families even say in there that they now believe Ray had nothing to do w/ the actual murders. AND FYI, Ray DID apologize to the families for his friends (at that time) wrong-doings, so you're WRONG there too. When was CMac in trouble for beating women ? Plus, if you gotta dig all the way back to Searcy & Morris you're really reaching. Why not just go back to players on the Browns before they moved while you're at it ? Suggs was ACQUITTED of any wrong-doing in the fight incident & that was while he was still IN COLLEGE too. Just because Billick is failing as a coach & arrogant & he stuck up for himself vs. Harrison on MNF doesn't mean he's classless or a punk, thanks

Little fella you need to take your purple glasses off. You know NOTHING about the move, the point is that the entire franchise is classless, and the move was only the beginning. I understand your boys are voting for you just like I said they would. If you can't win on points, you can always cheat, right? How very Baltimore of you.

The challenge was you didn't like me calling the Rats classless punks. If your argument is that they weren't convicted so they aren't punks, then you are an idiot.

Your team is among the most penalized every year, because they are punks and thugs. They parade this thugdom as a banner, they commit crimes and Ravens fan rationalizes it, condones it "because they weren't convicted. Ray Ray was convicted of covering up a crime, he paid money to the families BECAUSE HE WAS RESPONSIBLE. Jamal was convicted of a FELONY and you resigned him. He flunked 2 drug tests and you loved him, McNair gets a DUI and you buy his jersey, CMac was prosecuted and you kiss his arse. Your team melts down in a game every year, T-sluggs hit a ref last year, Scott has a temper tantrum this year. This is Baltimore's definition of classy?

Now I'm being accused of "cheating" by a guy doing his 1st throwdown & who's going to lose. WOW. 1st rule of fannation is this: when you cry cheat, you're going to lose & probably lose votes too from the 6 you have now (didn't you have 9 before ?). it shows your argument is fading when you start taking cheap shots at the city & me personally, not the team. The Ravens are not among the most penalized every year, the Raiders are. This year their penalties have spiked, so what ? That makes them classless punks ? I'm still not seeing your justification that Billick is a classless punk either. When did the Ravens resign Jamal again ? Oh yea, to a one year deal and after it was done he went to Cleveland. I've hung out w/ Jamal and his friends before down in Atlanta in 2004. He's a regular guy who's got regular friends. He's far from a thug and his drug deal conviction came out after he was in the NFL for several years, so how were the Ravens to know that when they drafted him ? McNair was a passenger in the car in the DUI. The guy driving was his brother in law. Nice try. Suggs NEVER hit a ref. His facemask bumped Mike Careys hat bill 2 yrs ago vs Det. If he HIT a ref he would be gone.

I told you BEFORE this started you'd have your boys vote for you. I'm ok with it, but I am right, like I said before we started. How very Baltimore of you.

You haven't refuted a single argument, just responded with baseless and unsupportable claims. I never said the Ravens were THE most penalized, they were AMONG the most penalized. Turn on any newspaper or tv show talking about the Ravens and you'll hear how they are crybabies and how classless the Ego is. Blowing kisses to a player? Suggs was kicked out of the game he "bumped" the Ref. But in B'more I guess that's the definition of class.

Pick up the Baltimore Sun, turn on ESPN, Fox Sports or NFL Network and listen to them rag on how poorly behaved the Ravens are. It's not just me, it's everyone except you and your friends.

But hey, this was fun. Hmmmm... I just posted my argument and he's got two votes already.

I guess that helps my argument...

December 12, 2007  07:07 PM ET

Billick didn't ruin any QB careers. None of the QBs outside of Grbac were any good to begin with. McNair was on the downside of his career, Boller was terrible at Cal, Blake was a journeyman, Banks was a turnover machine, Dilfer has stunk everywhere he's been, Wright's a 3rd string quarterback, Mitchell was a water buffalo, Cunningham was ancient, etc.. Grbac came into a no-win situation replacing a Super Bowl winning QB and had to overcompensate for a horrific rushing attack.

December 12, 2007  07:26 PM ET

He said that he could win with all those guys, traded for Stoney Case, Mitchell, Boller, McNair and his offenses always suck.

But don't tell him that, he'll tell you that you aren't smart enough...

December 12, 2007  07:38 PM ET

Tony Banks had a career year with Billick in 1999. Banks played well in a bunch of games down the stretch that season and absolutely torched a Titans team that went on to play for the Super Bowl. Billick also won a ring with Trent Dilfer who was so bad that he couldn't even find a job as a starter after he was released, McNair went 13-3 last year although he looks completely done now. Stoney Case was horrible. I can't believe you even brought him up. Kyle Boller didn't even complete over 50% of his passes in college until his Senior season. He's the definition of a one year wonder.

"Sorry but your franchise IS classless and a bunch of punks. It's very existence is proof of that. Modell moved the team from Cleveland where the fanbase supported him despite his best effort to destroy the franchise."

LMFAO!!!!!! You are SOOOOO clueless... You OBVIOUSLY don't know why Modell moved the team. The franchise was so deeply in debt that the team was literally one season away from seizure and auctioning. In cleveland, fans were not attending the games and the stadium SUCKED. Modell asked for a new stadium to get more fans and more money, and the city turned him down. When he left, he even left all records, a generous move, so if a new team came along, which it did.

Basically, it was a FORCED move, and Modell tried to be classy about it with the records. MORON...

"You have a history of criminal players like RBs Bam Morris & Jamal Lewis who were signed despite drug convictions"

Again, a vulgar display of utter ignorance. First, Lewis was not prosecuted until well into his tenure with the Ravens. Second, Lewis did NOT participate in a drug deal. The government gave a plea bargain to a convicted criminal, who then romanced Lewis. She then asked him where to buy drugs, and he called a friend and let the two of them talk. HE CALLED A FRIEND. He isn't some thug or criminal.

December 12, 2007  08:09 PM ET

You know nothing about the Move from Cleveland.

The team itself was making money, it was the failure of Modell's OTHER business entities that caused him to lose money.

The Browns sold out the largest stadium in the league every game, win or lose.

The reason Modell needed money was he was a crappy business man.

And Lewis signed a 1-year contract with the Ravens in 2005 AFTER his conviction for facilitating a drug deal.

You are an idiot.

From a Kosovo on the Chesapeake reporter:

Wednesday, Dec 5, 2007 10:32 am EST

Mike Preston, columnist for the Baltimore Sun, said the Bal...ens are "a bunch of babies and that they embarrassed the city by going after an official late in the game.''

Preston wrote: "The most disturbing thing about the Ravens is their lack of discipline. It's a misguided team.

"After the game, the Ravens whined about the officiating and talked of a conspiracy theory, which they do after every loss now. But what we see is a team where players scream at the coaches because of an ill-advised timeout, or a team and a coach that can't get a break because they constantly berate officials.''

Seriously this stuff just writes itself

December 12, 2007  08:24 PM ET

"Granted, McAlister made some comments & was fined, but I don't know if you can classify him as a "classless punk" anymore since he hasn't been in any legal trouble or on the field trouble for several years now."

So I guess this should absolve him from drug possession charges or getting thrown off an aircraft for getting into a flight attendants face? If anything it's an excuse for yet another criminal in purple.

That is so completely ridiculous it isn't even funny "close to being seized and auctioned"????????????? Typical RAT revisionist or even worse CLUELESS moron. Do you have even the slightest clue who his partners were ?...BILLIONAIRES of which Lerner offered to buy the team and Moron Modell wouldn't even consider it. Instead the league FORCED him to sell to Steve Bisciotti or it was taking the team from him and running it until a suitable owner could be found.

"Fans not attending"? 74,000+ and the place was full weekly By far the largest stadium in the league. And on those rare occasions when it was close to not selling out the businesses of Cleveland would buy up the remaining tickets to insure sellouts..

"Stadium Sucked" you mean that dump of a stadium which Modell REFUSED to leave and move into the Gateway complex? Again you prove that just like the team the fans are as clueless and the players are classless.

So if you don't get charged until years later it must not have happened? Are you completely clueless as you appear? It takes time to build a case. Also did or didn't J Lewis serve time in PRISON???? ding ding ding correct answer is YES. therefore that does make him a criminal.
R Lewis Better known as SKM made a PLEA BARGAIN guess what he is a Criminal as well. I would list the whole group but i doubt this forum allows that much room for a single post.

You post is so full of holes i just can't ignore the truth (which seems to be your only talent)

Modell only asked for a new stadium AFTER he was told he couldn't be the landlord in the new gateway complex. He was told the city would put it on the ballot in the fall which he was fine with. But he didn't wait until the fall election, in fact he put a hold on all conversations about a new stadium mid summer saying they would talk more after the season. Then when and made a deal with your city, the same city he told Mike Brown (Bengals Owner since you clearly wouldn't know) not to make a deal with because it would be a bad move.

As for leaving the Name, Colors and Records he didn't do it out of kindness. He did this because he didn't have the money (because only a moron like him could manage to lose money as an NFL owner) to fight the lawsuits lined up against him. So just like SKM he made a deal (guess we know where Ray Ray learned that move) to avoid further legal actions against him amd left the Name,Colors and History/records.

Lets all not forget the shining icon to society that Samari Rolle is, I mean after all he did tell his wife that he loves her by putting a dot on her eye that required 3 stitches to close up. Nothing says class quite like a trip to the er and stitches. Which is it rat fan, did she have it coming, or did she learn her lesson?

A few opinions from rat fan on Bart Scott:

Bart Scott is fine. Lay off the man. We had refs who, suddenly on the last drive, decided to get ticky-tacky when they had been letting us and the patriots play the game all day.

So I guess I'm in the minority, thinking Scott's flag-toss was both appropriate AND hilarious. I thought his actions summed up the feelings of every fan in that stadium at that moment. He didn't punch anyone, no one got hurt, so I don't see it as an "embarrassment" or a "punk move" or whatever. Sure, we all hope he'll conduct himself better next time, but at that moment, sitting in that freezing stadium watching one of our biggest wins ever go down the toilet, I was 1,000% behind Scott.

I thought it was hilarious too...i mean even without him throwing the flag, they still would have kick off from the 50 yard line.

Not only does rat fan back a stolen and classless org. they embrace it. I'm sure it was all the refs fault and if Scott would have dotted the refs eye he would have had it coming or deserved it right?

How about the other year during the game vs Detroit, a ref tossed a flag due to some criminal on the field having "malice in his heart."

Now that you have taken a stroll down memory lane, please don't shank someone tonight ratfan.

All of those qbs listed and rat org has yet to develop one that is actually worth something.

Yipicya... it is good to see some more fresh blood like myself taking a chance here... it would be better to have more people with whom to exchange meaningful debate. Baltimore may not be the classiest franchise in the NFL, but it is also far from being the cesspool of degradation and shame which you purport.

Arguments seen through the spectacles of logic play better than those seen through the blinders of unchecked fandom...
