i would have to go with the seahawks there 6-1 at home and 5-1 in there division and there 8-2 against nfc opponents. hasselbeck has caught fire over the last couple of games and has thrown 24 td and passed for 3346 yards there rushing game is not as good as it has been but the defense is a average defense that can cause turnovers and give the offense good field position

Alright I will probably take alot of heat for this but since you took Seattle I will go with the Giants.I know they have struggled on offense of late but the defense has maybe the best d-line in the nfl.The secondary can be suspect but has come up with alot of big plays this year. While the offense has had trouble scoring in the past 3 weeks they control the clock and move the ball. They do have a few play makers in Burress and Shockey to break some games open so I expect them to move a little better down the stretch.

hasselback has played in many big games while eli hasn't played in many, look at the playoff games he has played in and he has struggled in almost every one, hasselback has played in the superbowl and knows when to throw the ball away instead of throwing it intodouble coverage like manning does. the hawks are always the best team in the nfc west.

I agree that Hasselback has played in more playoff games. As far as Eli having bad playoff games its only been one.last year against the Eagles he had a 60% completion and 2 tds to 1 pick.
Anyways
This year the Giants are 6-1 on the road and 5-0 in games decided by 7 points or fewer. So they are battle tested and seem to succeed more than not. Also the Giants play in a much tougher division year in year out. There is not one team in the west that scares anyone so the Hawks better win those games. The defense has put up 46 sacks this season with three games left. They have the more productive running game which is important at this time of the year. The qb play hasnt been as bad as people say hes had one horrible game but hes played pretty good most of the time.

the hawks are just one of the teams that makes the playoffs every year they have great veteran leaders on both sides of the ball and if you have to figure if you have to play Seattle at home you are going to have 5 plus offside calls. don't get me wrong i like eli and the giant just fine but i give the edge to the hawks every time until eli really develops

I really feel everything below the Pack and Boys is just wide open. But if you want veteran leaders I think I can still pull for the Gmen.I look at Strahan, toomer, pierce, osi, and plax who has stepped up this year.As far as Eli I feel hes done a good job as a leader this year.He has led his team to multiple comebacks and yea he may make some throws you just say huh to but he seems to make up for it in the 4th qrt with clutch plays.I just have to say I like a team that never panics and plays 60 mins together. The Gmen though they back in last yr are on there way to three years in a row getting there which is great seeing how it took them about 12 years to go back to back.I do agree with if you are playing in Seattle you get some calls against you but that doesnt mean they are the better team.

I'll take the Seahawks

December 13, 2007  11:57 PM ET

It's too bad we won't get the chance to find out. I was hoping these two would be matched up in the wild card round but that's pretty unlikely now that the Seahawks pretty much have the 3rd seed wrapped up and the Giants are a lock for the 5th seed.

This would be a good game, but one I think favors the Giants in matchups.

Seahawks conference is so watered down...gimmie a break

December 14, 2007  01:32 AM ET

Hey Teemo, the entire NFC is watered down, if your such a pessemist whose better?

Cowboys and Packers are good, but I think they are overrated. Both teams lost their biggest test of the year. Though the Packers was to the Cowboys. Seahawks will upset the Packers in Lambeau after beating Minni at home. They will be able to shut down the Vikings and the Packers using the best defense in the NFC. They have the best 2nd half defense in the league, top 5 in sacks and interceptions. And the offesne has turned over a new leaf Then we'll see a rematch of last year and Tony's Tumble, this time in Dallas, that I can't see the Hawks winning.

Pat Kerney leads the NFL with 14 sacks and Julian Peterson sits behind him at LB with 9 and Tapp on the other end with 6.
Trufant with 7 ints and Tatupu with 4.
Hasslebecks ribs are okay now, Alexander has his cast off, they got their WR's Branch-Engram-Hacket healthy again. Seahawks are getting healthy at just the right time.

The Seahawks play in the NFC West and the Giants play in the East.

Which team plays in the better division?

The Seahawks, Cardinals, Rams, and 49ers

-OR-

The Cowboys, Giants, Redskins and Eagles?
